I do not wish to be contacted. This is for information only. On Tuesday, August 16th, I arrived at the office at 1:54pm for my 2pm appointment. The young lady attending the front desk opened the desk window around 2:02pm calling my name. When I stepped up to the window she told me she needed to collect my copay. I replied by saying that normally they bill me which has been true for every doctor I've seen in the UT network plus the various clinics I've been to over the years including Knoxville Foot care. She didn't like my reply as she seemed very agitated. After she fumbled around with papers and her computer, she mumbled something gruffly to me about letting it go this time like she was doing me some big favor. She closed the window in my face so I went to sit back down. No more than a minute later she reopens the window and yells out that she does have to collect a $20 appointment cancellation fee from me for canceling my appointment same day last week. Mind you I did respond to one of the many text messages and sent an email request to reschedule none of which were returned and when the office called me last week on my appointment day they said nothing about a cancellation fee. Also they originally rescheduled it for this coming Friday 8/19 but ended up calling me Monday 8/15 asking me if I could come in the next day which I agreed to. Anyways, I told her that I was not posting that fee. She turned around to another lady asking her what to do and that lady looked at me and said she would have to call the office manager and see what they wanted to go. I told the ladies never mind. I would not be attending this appointment and would find another doctor to help me. I've never been treated so hatefully by office staff before and despite the good doctors here, I will never be back and will warn everyone I can to avoid Knoxville Foot care.
