Purchased a bug service plan from ************* for our home. We had used them for many years, and found them to be solid. ************* was then sold to this company like a month after we signed an agreement with BA. There was no attempt from ************* or by Lookout to inform us that our contract has been transferred (should be illegal to not have a customer sign off on the transfer), and worse yet--they made no attempt to schedule or service our home. Basically they got free money, and did nothing to execute the contract that they had purchased. Feels like fraud.Business Response

I have reviewed the account in detail, and at this time, I do not see any record indicating that the service in question was provided. Specifically, there is no inspection date, no scheduled appointment, no payment, and no signed contract on file. If theres any documentation, receipts, or confirmation emails regarding this service, please forward them to us so we can investigate further and address the matter promptly. I am rejecting this response because:This business doesn't even seem to understand the issues I presented. They inherited a contract when they purchased *************. They didn't even attempt to act on the contract that they purchased. I received no services and paid in full. They didn't even appear to contact me to tell me I was their new provider. There are several complaints about this very thing on Yelp, etc.

Please see the contact with ************* dated 5/24/24 which was paid in full for $1195. This contract weeks later was transferred to Lookout, but no services were done.Business Response

*** ***** enrolled with ************* in May 2024 and paid his initial annual fee on May 24, 2024, which covered the initial rebaiting and installation of 22 termite stations. Later that year, ************* partnered with Lookout Pest Control and rebranded, with notifications sent to customers on October 18 and 22, 2024. ********************** continues to honor all ************* agreements.
The annual renewal was due in May 2025. A renewal inspection was scheduled for May 15, 2025, but *** ***** declined the appointment. Since the initial payment covered only the original service and no renewal was completed, no further charges accrued.
We spoke directly with *** *****, who confirmed he does not wish to renew. The initial payment in 2024 provided a full year of termite protection, and because we never billed him for 2025, there is no refund to issue. Lookout Pest Control remains committed to honoring all agreements and providing quality service to our customers.Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because:First and foremost, thank you for the opportunity to respond. It's unfortunate that the business has only provided what is convenient for them to include (leaving out other facts) and also included less than honest answers. A few additional thoughts and facts:
-It should be illegal for contracts to be bought by a different company and that the customer who's contract is impacted, isn't required to sign a new updated contracted with the new business. Or, at the very least, sign an updated contract proving that they have contacted and approve of the new agreement with the new company. I never signed an agreement with Lookout Pest Control. I've never even met them.
-I was never contacted by Lookout Pest Control in October as she states. I can't help but notice that she did not include how I was allegedly contacted? Phone, email, direct mail, how? Odd that she would leave that out. Does she care to prove I was contacted?
-Additionally, it should be pointed out others have issued similar concerns with Lookout Pest Control's takeover of *************. Several online reviews on ****, etc. point out that they were never informed that there as a contract transfer--exactly like my concerns.
-As the attached contract states, the agreement was for treatment in May 2024 and then also includes 15 years of termite protection coverage. How could I have coverage with a company I didn't even know about or know had taken over my contract?
I continue to believe they breached my contract with ************* by making no attempt to contact me. They instead took my money for coverage (inherited when they bought the contract from *************), and made no attempt to let me know I had coverage with them now. I believe I am due a refund of the contract.

Im filing this complaint against Lookout Pest Control due to repeated harassment, unauthorized property visits, and billing for services that were never scheduled or performed.Lookout acquired my previous pest control provider without notifying me. I had a clear agreement with the original company: no one was to visit the property without a scheduled appointment confirmed by me, and I must be present. Lookout did not honor this.I first learned of the issue when my tenants reported that a new technician showed up without notice. I told them to deny entry and inform the technician to leave or be considered trespassing. I later confirmed with my prior technician that he had been let go after the acquisition.I immediately called Lookout Pest Control and made it clear that I did not authorize any services, would not pay for anything, and wanted my account canceled. Despite this, technicians showed up at least three more times without appointments, did no work, and were again turned away and told they were trespassing. I continue to receive bills for these non-services.I have made three phone calls to cancel services and explain that no visits were authorized. I also emailed a cease and desist letter stating clearly that I am not a customer and that all communications and visits must stop. Still, I keep receiving bills and unwanted ********* this point, the companys actions feel like harassment. I am requesting that all charges be voided, my account removed, and that no further visits or communication occur..Business Response

I scheduled an appointment with Lookout for the morning of Friday, June 6, when they did not show I up by 11:30am I called the office and was told my appointment had been incorrectly scheduled for Friday afternoon. At 4:30 I called the office again to ask about the status of the technician as I had received zero communication and was told I would hear from them shortly. No one contacted me, and I left a voicemail at 5:02pm telling them to never contact me again and not to reschedule. On Tuesday, June 10, I received a voicemail reminding me of an appointment with Lookout in two days that I never scheduled nor confirmed. My husband called Lookout, told them to cancel the appointment, and I received an email confirmation of cancellation with an invoice for $0. Today, Friday, June 13, my credit card that is on file with Lookout was charged $300 for a service I never received. This is fraudulent activity and appalling service.Customer Answer

Someone showed up at my house, was in the driveway on my camera for 4 minutes, and left. I was then sent a bill for $200 for an inspection service. I have used the company for 7 years and all inspections include a spray, new termite traps, and a walk through the crawl space. This person did none of these things. I have emailed and called and asked for management with no follow up. I simply keep getting email reminders of a pending bill. The other issue I have is that nobody scheduled them to come out. I had no idea they were coming and I much prefer to be home when people are going in and around my house. I dont appreciate the lack of communication, the lack of and change in service, or lack of follow up after reaching out.Business Response

His concerns were forwarded to **** ******, Service Manager, on March 6, 2025, at 7:58 AM.
**** spoke with Mr. ****** on March 7, 2025, at 10:06 AM to address his concerns.
We reinspected Mr. ******* home and termite monitors on March 11, 2025.
