      I applied for assistance with my electric bill because I had a water leak. I have never applied for assistance in over 40 years being a customer. I paid $563 in September. They wanted another $409 for October. I was told they have a meeting on the 17th and I didn't have to worry about it being disconnected until I heard the result of the meeting but that they will only help people with up to $300 so try to at least pay it down below $300 before the 17th. I paid it down to $269 and waited to hear their decision on my application. Around 1pm yesterday with absolutely no notification my electric is shut off. I call and ask if the application was denied. Obviously it was. I accept that and ask if I can pay the $269 with my grocery money because I need electricity and water. Keep in mind I was never notified of the denial of the application. I got told on top of the $269 I have to pay a $50 reconnection fee. I informed the woman on the phone that wasn't fair I would have paid the $269 had I known I was going to get my electric shut off. She blames some other woman who happened to be at lunch so I couldn't speak to her. No understanding no explanation no empathy. Frustrated I had no choice but to use every dime I had left to pay $319 to get it turned back on. I asked them for help with $269 and they upped it to $319. The woman hung up on me before I could pay it so I had to call back and I was put on hold. When I asked why she hung up on me she said she wasn't aware she did. Completely unprofessional.

      I moved to my home a little over ten months ago. I live in the Kentucky and Tennessee border. As a result I have to use Jellico Utilities as my electric service . They are in Tennessee. I have daily light flickering or outages. I had to purchase surge protectors for most of my items . Appliance surge protectors I did not get because they cause more issues than good. The issues are that appliances can get ruined with all the daily flickering, I have serious heart plus other health issues and need AC or a fan, and I’m not getting the service I am paying for. I have called numerous times to report the issues. Only once did they come out and address an issue. From alone last Thursday to today I have over 15 light flickers and about two outages. Last week a manager replied because I filed a complaint with TVA in Tennessee. Jo the manager basically told me there were trees on the lines for over 30 years and for me to keep complaining to get moved up on a list to have the trees cut on my service lines. I have serious medical issues and need my electric. It doesn’t help that I’m paying close to 200 in a service that is hardly being provided monthly . I need this issue fixed and not just told to keep fighting . I shouldn’t have to live with this stress. Never had issues with any service for electric like this. Apparently numerous ppl are having similar issues . Google reviews states so. I wish I had been told about the issues prior to starting services as I would not have purchased my current home . Please assist in resolving this and having someone that will help correct this . Pictures are of my Ring service showing some of the flickering and outages in just a few days. This does not include all the prior days not this mornings . Thank you.
