I started getting text messages starting March 25 with no information except contact us with numbers Im guessing acct? Phone number And a website for me to access. I have no idea why all my credit is in good standing! Im afraid to answer because of all the scammers out there. Ive not been sent a letter in mail from this company! I look them up on ****** I see numerous complaints and scam alerts so I am contacting you to handle I am sure this is not a legit collection because I have nothing to collect!!! Please address especially around tax season scammers rise up!Business response

This dispute is about a debt collection agency called Fox Collection Center. Back in July of 2023 I noticed a collection account with the account number # **************** reporting a past due balance of $130 on my credit report. I sent them a debt validation letter, and they never responded to them. I reported this information to the **** on august 22, 2023. The company did not respond, and the account remained on my credit report. I mailed them a letter on October 5, 2023, demanding them to delete the information for failure to validate the debt and violating my rights by parking the debt on my credit report. The company continued to ignore my complaints. I also filed a complaint to the **** on October 5, 2023, when I mailed off the letter. They did not respond to the ****. At this point this company is just straight up being disrespectful. I am requesting the deletion of the account from my credit reports for violating my consumer rights because this company is causing emotional distress and unnecessary stress as I am taking care of my family.Business response

You did not respond in a timely manner. You have a time limit according to the ***** on how long you have to respond. I could not even get a response from you through the ***** You have failed to respond in a timely manner, you were also required to remove the account from my credit report until you provided proper validation per 15 USC ****g. You violated the **** and ***** and I have more than enough supporting evidence. I should not have to come to the BBB in order to get you to abide by your obligations correctly. I will not go into details now, but if you do not cease all collection activities now, you will be liable for whatever comes next per ***** 15 USC ****K and 15 USC ****n. Do not take this matter lightly.Sincerely,

I had an account from an emergency physicians turned over to Fox collections center in *********. They called multiple times and I responded and told them that I was in nursing school full-time and unable to obtain a job due to the restrictions with my school. My parents were helping assist with the bills and school payments but then their business was shut down from Covid. as a result, I was unable to pay what I owe to my nursing school program and they held my transcripts for a year following my graduation. I was on government assistance and eventually they released them to me in May 2022. I got my nursing license and started a job in August 2022. I contacted Fox collections and told them I would be making payments now but I had gotten out of that situation and had a job. I have been making monthly payments even as recent as last week. I received a notice of a civil warrant from the company, taking me to court over my remaining balance. I have spoken with multiple parties involved, and everyone is willing to work with me except fox collection. They have said there has been no contact, but that cant be the case when they have been receiving monthly payments from me.Business response

I was contacted on 02/15/2023 by FOX Collections regarding an encounter on 10/23/2018 with Fast Pace ****************** that I was supposedly sent to collections for. The lady from FOX Collections told me I had a collection change of $360.00, but a settlement of $288.00 was agreed upon and I paid. On 02/16/2023 I contacted my insurance (United Healthcare) to confirm this incidence. Upon speaking with United Healthcare I was informed this charge never existed, nor was I ever reported to a collections agency for any charges. However, there was an encounter with Fast Paced ****************** on 10/23/2018 for a charge of $144.00 but it was paid in full by United Healthcare. I have attached the itemized statement from Fast Pace ******************, a screen shot from my bank account of FOX Collections taking $288.00, and a screenshot of the number I was contacted from by FOX Collections.Business response

After investigating this claim, we found that this bill was due and it has been paid. Our client is **********************, not the *********** Center mentioned. This was for labs that the *********** ordered but is a separate entity. Thank you.
