This is the second time I've had problems with this bank. 2/8/22 I changed my homeowners insurance from Liberty Mutual to State Farm. My agent told me the company would notify the mortgagee. I checked again in March and April and was told they had notified the bank. The bank chose to ignore it. In July I received a notice from ********** they had opened an escrow account and set me up with a sub-stanndard home insurance policy. I wrote them and told them I wasn't going to pay for their stupidity because there was no need for it. They totally ignored my letter. In Sept I called their office and was told they would close the escrow and I was to email documents with the Dec page. The phone call was never documented and nothing has changed. I did receiving confirmation. I also sent copies of the paid taxes. I have now switched my insurance to ********. I told them you cannot have 2 policies on the same house and mine would be primary. I wrote to them again with my Nov payment which once again they ignored. I want this escrow account closed and since they got in a hurry to put unnecessary insurance on the house I will not pay it and they should. This is the second time they've done this to me. I always pay extra to get the loan paid off faster. Now instead of applying the extra to the principal they are putting it in suspense. Now they are earning interest on that money and it's not getting the loan paid faster so that isn't helping what I'm paying in interest. It as if they are mad because I want to pay this off in ten years not twenty and they want that interest money. I paid 3/4 of the house in down payment so I didn't need an escrow account. I've always paid my property taxes as well. This bank even called the city and county and asked if I paid them which is none of their business. Since they could do that they could have called State Farm and got the information they wanted. If you don't help I'll have no choice but get an attorney. My health can't take anymore.
