I was misled into a subscription I did not knowingly agree to and charged for 12 months of lab test orders I never used. The company initially agreed to refund these charges but later reversed its position and is now refusing to provide refunds, offering only store credit instead.Details:In May 2024, I purchased what I understood to be a package of three lab tests from Private MD Labs. I used one order in May 2024 and another in August 2024, believing these were two of the three tests I purchased. However, beginning in June 2024, I was charged monthly for what turned out to be an ongoing subscription that I never knowingly authorized. I did not use the June 2024, July 2024, or any orders from September 2024 through July 2025 a total of 12 months of charges for unused services.I only discovered this in August 2025 and immediately canceled. When I contacted Private MD Labs, they initially agreed to process a refund for all unused orders, including by alternate methods (e.g., ******/Zelle) since their credit card processor has a 6-month refund limit. They later confirmed in writing that they would refund $705 (the most recent six months of charges). However, they then reversed course, claiming even the $705 could not be refunded and insisting that I must accept non-expiring store credit instead. I have made clear that I do not want credits for services I never requested or ******* Request:I am requesting a cash refund (not credits) for the 12 months of unused charges (June 2024, July 2024, and September 2024 through July 2025). The company has already acknowledged these charges went unused, and offering only store credits is not a fair or acceptable remedy.Supporting Evidence:Email correspondence where the company first offered alternate refund methods, then *************** confirming they would refund $705, then retracted.Proof that I only used two tests (May and August 2024) and did not use the other 12 orders.
