I was informed by other shops that my transmission needed to be replaced. The car would drive, but the *** would accelerate but not the MPH. I took it to Worth It in late June 2024 for a diagnostic. They said my car needed a new transmission and battery. We paid for half the service, and received a call almost two weeks later to pick up the vehicle and pay the remaining amount. Less than 12 hours after picking it up, the car went back to having the same problem. I spoke with **** who told me to bring it back. It took some time for them to purchase another transmission and get it back to install. After picking it up this time, it still had the same issue. I spoke to **** again, and he told me to bring it back. I asked for a refund, and he responded with This isnt ******** You cant get a refund. I took the car back and after a couple of weeks called to check on it. **** stated that there may be something else wrong with the vehicle. I asked him how could there be something else wrong when this wasnt discovered upon the original diagnosis. He proceeded to tell me that when I told him I took it to ******* ****** Transmission Shop and they told me it was the transmission, he knew it had to have been the transmission because they are the experts. The conversation continued to go downhill, and we ended with **** telling me that they would continue to try to find my cars problem. After two weeks of waiting, we called and spoke with Sterling, who informed us that the car had not been touched since I last spoke with ****. We disputed the charge with our credit card company on the grounds that the car is in the same condition, and they advised us to take the car from the shop. We did so and they denied the dispute saying that Worth It Automotive says they performed a service and we should send it to another shop for diagnosis and repair. They diagnosed the car and the same problem is occurring. We are asking for a refund.
