I had an appointment at the clinic in August, 2020. The clinic filed on my insurance. In November, 2020 I moved to *********** (over 2 hours away). I had my mail forwarded to my new address (for 1 year). I never received anything from the clinic at no time and no phone calls regarding an outstanding bill. They said they sent me 4 statements for the charges ($******) and called me several times. I received neither from them. In March or April 2022 I received a phone call from ************** collections agency informing me I owed $******. I contacted Agape 4 times with no resolution and no explanation as to why they turned me over to collections without contacting me first. They would not return my calls after asking to speak to someone that knew about this bill. The owner, ************** did not return my calls. I was only able to speak to ****** who relayed information from ***********l. My credit score is over *** and I have always paid my bills in a timely manner. However, I had no idea this one existed. I want to pay the $*** which is the amount owed and not the amount with collection fees added on. There are steps to take to collect on any bill and they took none of those steps. Now my credit is being threatened because of their incompetency.
