This builder should be labeled for predatory selling. The company lists home that are far beyond value and don't match a single comp on the market. They have one of the most deceiving buyers contracts that any lawyer, relator, or real estate commission has ever seen. With large down payment requirements to even sign the contract, ranging anywhere from $5,000-10,000, all of which they name a "deposit." Accompanied by an additional $100.00 in "earnest money." When your appraisal comes back $70,000 low and the builder refuses to lower the price and will not refund your deposit as it is "non refundable" (this verbiage is not in the contract). It's no wonder these people could make money without ever selling a home. I'm sure once upon a time this company had a moral compass but they are a consumers worst nightmare and have made quite the reputation for themselves in the surrounding areas. Every single person that we worked with from Donna H**** to Martha F****** have schemed to have us believe we needed some special appraiser to hit there outrageous number. Approaching the situation man to man with Richard G**** and getting absolutely no response. Complete scam. The plot thickens, not only did this home appraise astronomically low it also had a defect that was covered by one of their advertisement awnings and then was revealed during the appraisal. It was deemed serious enough that a condition was placed in the appraisal that solicited a third parties evaluation as it could be as serious as a structural issue. This alone voided the contract completely as it was a non disclosed defect. These people stole thousands of dollars from a young couple just starting out with a child on the way and cost us thousands more that left us without a home after this deal fell through. No remorse, not even a simple email in return. Avoid this builder if you want to do business with fair, honest people who won't steal your money.
