In September 2022, i had Davis Brothers Roofing install a new roof on my home. It was filed as an insurance claim. My home owners insurance is through State Farm. Installation was completed in September 2022. In February 2023, i noticed i had water damage on the ceiling in my pantry where the gas hot water heater is located. The vent pipe was not connected, pieces of insulation had fallen on the hot water heater, ceiling had a hole and water stains were visible on the ceiling. I contacted Davis Brothers Roofing on March 8th 2023 to inform them of the damage that had occurred and that area of the roof was leaking. Never received a called back. I called again on March 16th, still no call back, i called again on March 27th, still no return call. I decided to notify my insurance agent at State Farm and told him of what had happened. He made phone call on April, 3rd to Davis Brothers Roofing to see if he could get someone to contact me. I received a phone call from the project manager at Davis Brothers to find out about the my roof leaking and damage to the ceiling. He said he would have someone to come out and assess. A week later, no phone call, i called on April 10th. Davis Brothers came to house that day , climbed on the roof and spread some tar. The project manager came by on April 11th, to assess the ceiling damage. Two weeks passed, no contact from Davis Brothers. I called on April 20th, the project manager said they were responsible for the ceiling. I've called numerous times, since then, Davis Brothers promised they would be at the house end of the week to repair the ceiling. They never showed. No Phone call, nothing. I called them back, he said i have all the information and there will be someone there to repair the ceiling May 19th. No one from Davis Brothers has called me back or showed up. I contacted my insurance and was advised not allow the roofing company to make repairs on the ceiling they were not certified to make the repairs on the ceiling..

Worst contracting job experience ever! I hired them to replace the roof and facia on my house. Met with salesman and we reviewed a couple of specific areas of concern mainly around experience with an icing problem on the back of the house. He reviewed what they would do and committed to being present when the job started. Not only did I never see him but no one on the roofing crew could speak English so I could not convey concerns to them. Their tarps had holes in them and I found nails all over my yard plus two razor blades. Found chicken bones out by my fence where the workers had thrown them when my dog came walking out with one the next morning. They put their glue gun on a table on the deck and it dripped glue all over the table. I had to scrape it off and repaint table. My house is partial stucco and they put over 80 marks on it. They said they would be out the next week to clean but never showed up. After 2 months I cleaned most off myself. They broke the complete top off a magnolia tree throwing roofing off the house. I had to go over the neighborhood 3 times cleaning up as I have never seen a crew so messy. I talked to them several times but no changes. I caught them cutting my flashing as it would not lay down right. The roofers were very bad but the facia crews were even worse! The first facia crew walked off the job the first day. The second crew was the worst craftsman I have ever seen. Facia was cut short in several places, hammer marks all over it and no angle was cut correctly. Manager came out and said it was the worst he had ever seen. Their repair guy and helper (who was actually very good) spent 13 days at my house fixing screw up’s. Took 7 months from the time they started until finished. I tried calling the owner but he would not return my calls. I would never use this company again for anything. Most unprofessional experience I have ever dealt with and my confidence factor is very low regarding long term quality. Run, run away quickly.

We signed the contract with Rick ***** on Friday 10/29/2022. We ordered and delivered the roofing material to the customers house on 11/8/2022. The labor to remove and replace the roof started on 11/9/2022, 1 day after material was delivered and 11 days after the contract was signed in which 4 days were nonworking days. Day 1, 11/9/2023 I had two of our material runners/job clean up personal deliver extra felt and osb to replace what was bad. During this visit these two individuals were approached by a belligerent home owner that appeared to be intoxicated. He was steadily cursing our workers that were there to help clean up some of the job site. After this happened I asked our two employees to leave so they did not have to be involved in this altercation. The two employees felt threatened by the homeowner. On 11/14/2022 I sent out another individual to make sure the house was cleaned and removed any debris that were found. As discussed with the homeowner we started the fascia metal on 12/13/2022. Our company has several sub-contractors that do different types of work and we were looking for one to take on the task of *** ******* house. The first crew that I sent out did not want to do the job because of the aggressive nature of the homeowner. After finding another crew to go out and do the work I sent them and we got started. *** ***** already had made  comments in regards to only wanting white people back to work. Indirectly he showed signs of racism with our employees that did the work. In regards to the table that had glue drip on it we offered to replace the table at our expense to rectify the mistake that was made by our crews doing the work. The stucco that had marks on it was cleaned by the homeowner, I offered to get it cleaned and pay for this, he refused to allow us to do this. However we did make an adjustment on *** ******s final invoice to cover his time and expense of cleaning the stucco. With flashing you have to cut certain areas to make it fit into difficult spots. We have stood by all of our work that has been done and we have provided a warranty with our work as discussed between the homeowner and the salesman. We have acknowledged all of *** ******* issues and offered resolutions to satisfy him. *** ***** did request that the only person to come and work on his house to be our repair guy. In doing this we discussed with *** ***** that our repair guy was a one man crew most days and that it would take a lot longer for him to touch every area of concern that *** ***** had in regards to the job that we did. In doing this it took much longer to complete and satisfy this homeowner. In the end we were able to complete all the work with 100% satisfaction in what was done according to the conversation between the homeowner and our repair man. *** ****e paid his invoice in full on 5/12/2023. *** ***** has been out of town and unable to personally respond to *** *****. He has employees that he pays to handle these issues and resolve them.

Typical marketing ploy. If you can not dispute the facts then try to discredit the contributor. Note none of the issues as presented were disputed. In regards to the personal attacks, what a joke! I encountered two employees around noon the first day as I was leaving to meet a friend for lunch. My encounter was less than a minute as I asked if they could get someone to clean up the f###ing trash that had blown into 3 neighbors yards and someone needed to be there that I could communicate with....and walked away to meet a friend for lunch. I had personally picked up the trash once and had tried to communicate with contractor on site but they did not understand English and I did not understand Spanish. "Steadily cursing our employees" is interesting as my ONLY interface with their employees was less than a minute and never were cuss words used with contactor. The salesman who committed to be there at project start in order to communicate the details we had discussed had not been seen. The friend I met, my wife and anyone else I interfaced with that day would be happy to dispute the intoxication comment. Mad, yes but not intoxicated! In regards to the employee feeling intimidation, what a lie. That employee came back out twice after the initial visit with the last one being to get the left over materials the following week. The individual was +6'3" and +325 lbs. Obviously not too intimated as he came back out twice. In regards to the slanderous comment of being a racist, I challenge the contributor to show just cause for that statement. The ONLY comment that was expressed, several times, was they had to have someone on job site I could communicate with. Sorry, I don't speak Spanish. That does not make someone a racist. NEVER was there a comment directly or indirectly regarding only wanting "white" people. That is pure slander with no justification and I caution you. Also I recently retired from a major corporation where diversity is valued and regularly monitored. The group was +640 employees and my diversity scores were the highest in the division, I would be happy to present these facts against this slanderous statement or my many friends that have very diverse backgrounds.. Fact check. The initial facia contractor felt intimated by me. I NEVER met them. I was traveling the day they came and they met with my wife. After 30 minutes they came back to the door and said they could not do the job as they were told it was a single story house. They were older and said they did not feel safe at the heights of the house. They were intimidated by the house and NOT me as I never spoke or met them. Interesting spin! The second facia contractor was so poor that everything they did had to be redone. Also NEVER did the submitter request to come to the house to clean the scuff marks. They said they would, I was told they had bought something from Lowes for this but two months later and no communication I cleaned what I could. I did pay the invoice after the repair guy corrected the mistakes. No issue as I have integrity and the job was finally finished. I cannot comment on long term quality as only time will tell that. My only point was that it was a terrible customer experience. That is the reason I tried contacting the owner as I was told he would be interested in the experience I had. Only with the response or lack of did I decide to go forward with sharing my experience. I managed a service business and understand some times stuff happens but there were additional details I wanted to share. Rick
