I purchased their sample paint adhesive product. When applied to two areas in my home, it bubbled the wall. Pictures were sent to the company. They quickly refunded and gave a $10 coupon to address damaged walls that are estimated to be $250 in repair after consulting two different painters. They initially asked what I would consider to be a fair response at which I deferred to their experience. They said due to the “ rarity” of the incidence and having checked their samples, they believed their recourse was fair. I asked if they could at least give coupons or something that is closer to the monetary assessment given they damaged the walls I was not planning to paint (the product was placed to see contrast) and now I have to pay to have them done due to the damage. Outside of the lack of accountability for a product they say is non-damaging to walls and giving me excuses that do no apply ( eg higher humidity of location or newly painted walls), I found the whole implication that they would work with the customer to find a proper redress a facade when I answered their question of what I would present as a fair response. They need to clearly state their products can damage walls and that their policy for addressing damaged walls is to only given refund of samples and a $10 coupon ( ie they do not take accountability for the damages their product CAN cause). “ Rare” is not never meaning their response means they knew it can damage walls even if of low incidence.
