In June of 2021 my *********** bought what was supposed to have been a brand new mower from Gossett Farm Equipment in ***********, **. On March 21, 2023 my *********** just paid Gossett Farm Equipment $670 to get the same riding lawn mower fixed. We weren't happy about it as we felt it shouldn't be having so many problems at this point. Shortly after on March 24th, 2023 I had been cutting the lawn for a little over an hour when it's gave a puff of smoke & started making a high-pitched sound and the blade stopped working. That is exactly what we paid to have fixed. I called the owner and told him what happened. No apology from him whatsoever, he said that he would come pick it up & see what was going on. I told him we don't want to be paying for something that was supposed to have already been fixed. He said, "Look lady, I said I'm going to come and pick it up!" He then had the nerve to tell me whatever had been fixed was fixed. I said no it wasn't because I've been driving this for a little over an hour and it's NOT FIXED. So he came to pick it up. He said there was a stick in the belt. I said isn't that a brand new belt? And he said, "Yes it is. Anyway he ended up taking it with him then when my husband went to see about picking it up Gossett was going to charge another $160 for the labor of taking it apart & a new belt. My husband told him just to put it back together the way it was and bring it back. So he charged my husband $40 for labor. When, let me remind you, we just paid $670 to have it fixed. It turned out apparently it wasn't a new belt because there wasn't one on the receipt but he told my husband it had looked like a brand new belt. My point is you don't pay almost $700 to have something fixed you bought less than 2 years ago & then run it for a little over an hour before it breaks down again. Obviously supporting our local business was a huge mistake. Thank you, ***************************
