I entered the 1st contract $14350 and paid $8500 with The Honey Do Service, Inc. (Tri-Cities) on 4/11/23. Under garage and basement renovation to living room, kitchen, bathroom and assemble a galvanized steel shed with concrete base in the back yard. The contract list and price had changed multiple times by them. Constantly I paid $1325 on 5/12/23, $3790 on 5/16/23, and $3450 on 6/20/23, total is $17065. They left in the middle of the job on 7/31/23 excuses by lack of material to work with. They even took my up-flush toilet and a box of French door glass block out of my property without my knowledge. Under the contract they were supposed to provide all the material for the work completed and I was supposed to pay the remainder of the rest of the contract price. They breach the contract by not following the obligations. Their work is not followed by the contract list on the first and second emails that I agree with, and nothing has been completed since April. They have done minimal for the basement project and partial work on the shed since entering the contract. I am now demanding a refund on my initial $17065 payment since I have not received proper services from them with an unacceptable time frame and all the violation work. I contacted the City of Kingsport Building Division to inspect their work at my house on 8/3/23. We found out they do not get a permit from the city and are without a state license. I am attempting to resolve this out of court, but if we cannot come to an agreement I intend to sue. I sent this letter to The Honey Do Service, Inc. (Tri-Cities) by email on 8/2/2023, and they replied to me that their attorney will contact me within 7-10 days. I have not gotten any contact from their attorney so far. I filed a concern on The Honey Do Service, Inc. website. Honey Do Service Inc. (Tri-Cities) owner, David Tolbert, hosted a meeting with us on 8/14/23, but we were not able to come up with a solution.

We received complaints from this client and were in the process of resolving the issues when *** ***** decided to file a complaint with BBB.

We are working with our corporate office to get this issue resolved. A main issue with this job was miscommunication between the client and his wife and then with his wife and our crew as there were multiple times that she was wanting items changed.

*** ***** has already pulled back $8500 from this job that he had paid with his debit/credit card.

It is our goal to provide quality work at reasonable prices for our community and take pride in making our customers happy.
