      Horrible! 3 months of absolute nothing. No birth certificate, no answer when called, no email reply, no refund.
      This company should be labeled as a scammer!!
      States/cities/counties should not use a third party service when it comes to vital records. They should handle it on their own. Take this company link off your websites. Colorado’s vital records automatically linked me to them…it wasn’t a choice. Curious!

      It is impossible to reach anyone by phone. You will be on hold for a significant amount of time before you hang up and redial and hopefully talk to someone as if you were ordering a new order. While they say they have entered infor. for you - it's clear they haven't because when you check on your order status - it still says pending. Can't upload documents, send a message, no response, try to call, nothing. THIS IS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE and I have no idea why any state would use this supposed "service" because it is not. If you can find the records you want via another source, i.e., your state or ancestry search - do it because this is a waste of time and a HUGE waste of money.

      Seemingly convenient to get the documents I needed until I noticed duplicate charges on my bank account. I only submitted/authorized one transaction but after emailing customer service I was informed it was indeed two! Would've let it go but I never received the second document I apparently ordered 2 weeks prior. The shipping and processing is ridiculous enough. Requested a refund and after emailing them back and forth, they finally tell me I need to contact the local dept as they would be the ones to handle the refund, that's if they will! Would've been nice to know earlier in their correspondence, but instead of resolving the issue with their service I feel as though they beat around the bush then I get pawned off. They did offer to refund their processing fee as courtesy but it's not even a third of what I paid for one document. A investigation was submitted with ***, which determined that the 2nd package was delivered. But I never received it. Not worth the hassle to use their service for price and terrible customer service. Better off to get off work early to get the documents myself. Never again.

      Impossible to get ahold of do not use this company there is no online portal to update anything you cant get ahold of them they are a MESS!!!!

      Really disorganized and not helpful. I have been married for 24 years and was told by my local DMV I needed a certified marriage certificate to prove my change in name 24 years ago. My state uses VitalChek. I filled out all the forms and have been back and forth with them for weeks. First they asked for a certified marriage certificate to prove my name change, when that was what I was requesting from them. Then they asked me to print, sign and scan a form saying I am who I say I am. Then they rejected the form and asked me to print, sign and scan the exact same form but won't tell me what was wrong with the first one. I can't reach an actual person, when I call I sit on hold for over 30 minutes.

      I placed an order for a birth certificate in March. It is now July. I can’t log in to check the order because it says my login has expired and I waited over an hour on hold for customer service yesterday (I took a picture of the time on the call as proof). I have sent emails. I am worried that this incompetent company now has my vital information. I want a refund and for them to erase my data, but I can’t even reach anyone. I discourage anyone from using this service. They just scammed me for $105.

      Do not ever do business with vitalchek. This business has scandalous and acts in the ways of a scammer. Please please please if you need vital records do not go to this company. I ordered a birth certificate in May 2025 and now it is almost August 2025 (over 10 weeks) and I have not received it or a phone call or a text message or an email. I don't know you, but I am trying to help you. If you need vital records do not, I repeat, do not go to vitalchek. Any dealings with this company will not end well for you. -5 stars. I believe that they have scammed me out of my money.

      order is still pending after a month... weasels running this company and thieves. For all who are as unhappy about their performance, try **** too. Won't even answer calls or emails. **** ****.

      I sent a request June 3rd 2025 in through this company for my birthday certificate.
      It stated that I would have it by June 24th. I’ve called in on numerous occasions and I was unable to get through to them. Today is July 16th and I still don’t have my birth certificate yet!

      Vitalcheck: This company it is not transparent in their prices. You might be required to pay more later so be aware. They have no problem taking monthsss in getting your birth certificate. You might as well travel to the place you get it quicker. If any info needed you are not made aware & if so , it would be months later & no explanation given very vague. You call and are treated like oh, why are you upset? No empathy, no apologies.... bad CS.
