  Found Ambetter through the market place, you get what you pay for, took this option instead of going on wife's insurance, so much regret going with this group, but stuck until my wife's annual enrollment. The single most worst customer service out of any company I've reached out to. Not sure where their call center is at, but it's a battle just asking questions due to English speaking skills, basic question usually require several hold times, I dread having to call them. I can go on and on about the wacked out website, especially looking at claims, all providers say they are the hardest to deal with on authorizations.

  It's a shame that I can't even use my own health care plan That someone has Been able to use Because of my data being breached without notice. I want to choose a healthcare plan and there's already a plan set up for premium with my information but when I call them and healthcare.gov for Tennessee they said that they can't find me at all...?? I have proof that I have an online account and will not let me go any further until I put in a member ID number which I do not have nor can I access the healthcare plan cuz it takes me back to the main screen to put in my member ID number but yet I'm not in the system??? I'll be taking this information I have to a lawyer for sure ??

  Ambetter, that's a joke, should be Amworse. Can't get anything approved, you have got to jump through 15 hoops to get anything approved, have been waiting for 3 years to get on medicare so I can get my back worked on because amworse wouldn't cover anything the doctor wanted done. Some would say why didn't you change to a different plan. Well this was the only plan in the marketplace my doctor takes and I didn't want to change doctors because when you find a good one you don't want to let him go.

  Ammbetter of TN we had a few mishaps in the begging but they corrected them immediately and since then it has been the best thing that has ever happened to our family, before this we had we had NOTHING but doc bills and empty pockets, and as far as insurance goes my sweet husband “bless him” and know me, we both have high blood pressure, but he takes about 9 different meds for that, I take one but other stuff too, like huffers and anxiety meds but with him it’s still to high his (bld pressure) but at least now he’s able to function better and see, when his bld pressure is high he goes blind as a bat, and a busting headache but anywho, they have made our lives better for having insurance to be able to go to the doc and not worrying about going to see a doc for much need help or eating for the next few week and we always chose food, for us and our puppers…
  So yea thanks to ********* I have a chance to make up for long lost time to go to a much needed doc visits and and choose good health coverage over neglected health, due to no insurance or money, by the way we only pay 40.44$ per month so it’s 20.22, per person and all our doc visits are free and even some chiropractors and other stuff too, all our meds too, they are free, $40.44 for two ppl with seasonal jobs, so yeah it’s great..!!!!

  Oh and they paid thousands of doallrs to the ER for two Visits for my hubby, we only owed 25$ buck each time, can’t beat that…. EVER…!!!:)

  We got a new health insurance company after some headaches with ambetter. Went through the marketplace and got new insurance coverage, the marketplace told us they would notify ambetter of our new coverage, but of course I felt it best to let them know we got new coverage as well. 3 months later and we are still being billed for double health insurance. I have called 3 times for a total of 4 hours trying to get them to stop. They have taken a total of $1750 illegally and now are making us wait 7-10 business days to get our money back that they took.

  This insurance company is a complete scam. I've been seeing the same doctor as a primary care physician for several years now. I was forced to switch to a different insurance company because of cost recently, and chose Ambetter. They refuse to list her as my primary care physician because she is coded as an internist in their system. I will be getting rid of their "coverage" as soon as possible. Don't waste your money!

  Do not get Ambetter...I called at least 3 doctors that were listed on the provider list with Ambetter to make new patient appointments..all 3 took my information and just as soon as they got to the question of which insurance I have they all hung up on me. So I guess that I'm going back to ****..

  Ambetter insurance is worst I have ever had. They don't cover pap smear or a biopsy I need. I got covid and the meds were Not covered. Pharmacy said would cost 1600$. Why pay for insurance that is no good???

  good moring this was the worse insurance i every it doesnt pay for anything i still at emergency hospital bill that needto pay they dont pay anything have switch up with different clinic hospital none of themaccept why are they still in business they are fake

  One star, and that's only because they offered the lowest price. Ambetter is one of the "you get what you pay for" companies. You pay less than the others so, yeah you get shafted at every turn.
  Ambetter uses every single loop hole and guideline they can to:
  1. Make getting expensive issues covered a nightmare.
  2. Take your healthcare decisions and advice from the physician out of
  the equation until their own requirements and decisions are met.
  3. Deny doctors certain diagnostics that are normally available to them until they feel the doctor/patient has undertaken cheaper diagnostic options, even if those cheaper alternatives are necessary or warranted.
  3. Provide outsourced customer service as initial contact which is scripted and totally inadequate.
  My advice is to get as far as possible from Ambetter. Their prices/coverage do seem attractive when seen up against their competitors however, they simply do not deliver on that value for money.
