If there was a no star rating I would choose that. This business "sold" us a 4 season sun room to be built as an addition to our home. They took a down payment 18,500.00 check. Then went to my bank and cashed it. Then they had excuses and promises. Then they quit answering our calls and were rude and defensive when I went to talk with them to request to cancel our contract and return our 18,500.00.
They refused to refund my deposit. We gave them 2 years to build or refund. We won a judgement and the owner has refused to pay the judgement in full or in payments. The judgement proves we are not slandering this business. Now we want to let everyone know to not do business with the business. We have called the Black Hills Home show, Stock show and the Fair to request to ban this business from ever doing this to anyone else.

We got a window quote from their salesman, Roger, in March 2022. He was knowledgeable, thorough, & openly discussed the pros/cons of options. His honesty, professionalism, & lack of sales pressure gave us comfort for a $10K job. Upon ordering (60% down), he said supply issues averaged 3-4 months. Communication was sparse & delays drove our timeline into the fall, but by then, we'd unexpectedly moved across town & contracted to sell the house. Just before planning to cancel, they said our order was ready & Dallas prioritized it due to the sale - finishing on closing week (with buyer's blessing). Inspection noted one window was an incorrect style. Dallas admitted to errantly ordering & refunded the cost difference since the new owner was happy.

Our new house's windows/doors were worse, so we asked Roger for another quote after a mostly-positive experience. He gave a repeat client discount plus another for 100% down. We paid for a $20K order on 30 Dec 22 expecting late-spring production & I deployed shortly after.

Getting updates is like pulling teeth: IF anyone answers calls, no one knows or follows up. Upon return in March, I had one January voicemail saying our order was rejected. I called Roger to find he hadn't followed up & I had to act as middle-man with the factory to learn Midwest ordered incorrectly & found/gave him the data needed to fix it. By August, they said our windows were almost done (two on material back-order). In October, they scheduled a November install. I took off work, but they were a no-show (later blaming job overruns). We rescheduled for my next opening in December. On arrival, I noted all hardware/screens are the wrong style & mid-install, Doug said two windows & both doors were never ordered. Install extended a week due to Dallas' incorrect measurements. Three times, Doug said Dallas would come/call to rectify, but he's yet to contact me. I later noted air leaks cause interior ice & kill our heat bill.

    Midwest hasn't returned any calls.

It's a shame that I have to rate this company as a one star. It should be none. Dallas has refused to take our calls amd refund our money after he has lied to us about building a four seasons room since February. The build was ro be done at the end of April. Numerous excuses later of waiting for windows when we were told it could be done while the windows were ordered has resulted in NOTHING. It is September and we have been asking for a refund since June due to the lack of professionalism amd communication on his part. We gave this crook 20,000 for this build with no blueprints, no appointments to bring out any materials on time and of course no one answers the business phone and or his voicemail box is always full. We have already notified the homebuilders association to have them removed from attending any future home shows to prevent this crook from hurting other people. We have also spoke with an attorney who is ready to file charges against this company. DO NOT ALLOW THIS MAN TO ENTER YOUR HOME. DO NOT SPEAK TO HIM AT HOME SHOWS. YOU WILL LOSE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY.
