Less than a year after getting my rear brakes replaced by this business, I returned due to squealing brakes. I assumed it was the front ones, but the rear were already worn down to nothing. I agreed to replace both front and rear brakes and rotors, since last time they had only smoothed the rotors. They had my car for two days, kept finding issues, and removed parts from the rotors without proper replacement. When I got it back, the brakes felt no different. Two days later, my car made a loud grinding, clown-horn-like noise at 5 mph. I called immediately, but was told unless the noise was consistent, they couldn’t help. The sound kept happening around turns and got worse. A second mechanic (****** ********) said they had to have messed with the tie rod, causing it to rub on the CV axle. I was told to get an alignment. The original shop denied touching anything beyond brakes and rotors. The day before the alignment, going 35 mph, my car started shaking badly when accelerating, and the engine light came on. I pulled over, restarted it, and it stopped. I called again, upset, but got no solution. The guy said there was no camera footage available and was rude. The next day, the third mechanic (***** ******* **** ***) found the sway bar and camber kit needed replacing, and said the rotors looked untouched—neither replaced, smoothed, nor lubricated. I contacted the original shop again—no resolution. I left a detailed review, but despite their claims, they’ve offered no help.

April 25th 2025 is when I went to the original shop, Advanced Auto Repair Inc.
      May 9th I went to ****** ******** for a second opinion

      Business Response

      Date: 05/19/2025

I have attached the copies of the invoices , one from 2024 and the recent one in 2025. As discussed with the customer, in May 2024 the rear brake pads were replaced and the rotors were resurfaced. When brought back in April 2025 the front and rear brake pads were worn down and the rear rotors had to be replaced. We could not find any binding or sticking conditions that would have caused the rear brakes to wear out prematurely and we can not warranty worn out brakes because it usually is due to operator error or driving habits. The procedure for replacing brakes has nothing to do with adjusting or moving the tie rod end or the noise from the customers sway bar link, which will not cause a check engine light and is an entirely different issue with the vehicle. Even after the customers excessive use of profanity and the false accusations that we did this "on purpose" or did not "replace any parts", we still offered to bring the vehicle back in and confirm the work we performed was done correctly but the customer refused to bring it back. The second week of May 2025 the customers father stopped in and played the voice message from the alignment shop and stated the alignment was not off nor had it been "tampered with" and the brakes did in fact look replaced with the exception of the front brake rotors which we did not replace, nor did we charge the customer for front brake rotors.
