      Purchased 2018 ***** Silverado on 4/19/2024 from Evans Auto Sales in ****, ** for $26,000. Did not purchase additional warranty for $6000 on good faith that I was getting a good vehicle. 595 miles and less than 30 days later, this vehicle is not driveable. Evans instructed me to take it to a local garage for a diagnostic check at their expense. Upon taking vehicle to Wrench ****** in ****** SC, it was found that the motor is no good. ******** stated the live diagnostic reader shows this was an ongoing code/problem and the dealership would have known about this. I have repeatedly called dealer to find a resolution, which is what I was instructed to do; however, no one will speak with me regarding this. When someone does answer a call, I am advised a manager will call me back, but 3 days later, I have heard nothing despite repeated calls to them. I would like to have an agreeable resolution, at least a discussion.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      That is not true. Mr ********************** and I had a short conversation on Friday evening and he said he was feeling some kind of way about the BBB complaint being filed. I told him I felt the same way about my new to me vehicle not being right & not getting phone calls back as promised from them. All I ever asked for was honesty and a phone call letting me know what was going on, whether ********************** was going to at least help me pay for repairs, or if I was just screwed and had to figure out to pay for the vehicle plus taxes they stated would be paid and werent plus now repairs. I never told Mr ********************** I didnt file a complaint! My mother has assisted me in this because I have never dealt with anything like this before but I am 100% behind this complaint and want proper communication as promised on numerous occasions from the dealer. Honesty and integrity goes both ways.

      We have been in communication with this client numerous times concerning this issue. He still states and maintains he never wrote or posted this review and has stated this on recorded phone calls. He states his mother is behind this and he has nothing to do with it nor supports what she is saying. This client did in fact have an issue, we sell our vehicles with a silent 30 day warranty with a limiting liability limit. This client was past his 30 days at the time the issue manifested. The issue also happened after, and in the client own words, he floored the vehicle. We still went to bat for this client, paid the diagnostic fee, and was able to get him half of the liability limit of the warranty even though he's out of coverage, and he stated he was just going to pay for the repair himmself. I'm not sure what more action we can take here when the client rebuts he posted this review and furthermore won't accept the assistance we offered.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to my complaint and at this time. I wish for this complaint to be closed. My vehicle was fixed and paid for out of my pocket, no help from Evans Auto Sales. Good riddance!!
