I don't remember the exact date of the transaction but I paid for continuing education class to this business sometime in January or February of 2019 and was unable to complete the course because of a severe car accident. The business owner had told me that she would refund at least half of my money for the half of the class that was unable to be completed or allow me to complete the class at a later date. When I requested a date to complete the class she never provided one and told me I would have to pay the amount again to complete the class. I was satisfied to be done with her and her company without the refund so long as she removed me from her mailing lists as I felt not only defrauded because she did not honor her original agreement and as I no longer continued my career as a massage therapist due to injuries I received from the car accident.
I have since for several years continue to receive periodic emails from her for not only clinical treatment but continuing education courses available to which I've continued to responded with warnings that I would report her business if she did not remove me from her mailing list. This occurred more than four times at a minimum. This time, upon receiving her email I responded and let her know that I was tired of receiving emails from her, that I had requested her not to send anymore emails, that she had never refunded my money from the course that I had paid for years ago, and then I was going to now report her for continuing to advertise to me even though I'd requested to be removed from solicitations.
I was not unsatisfied with the massage therapy I received following my accident at her business, that I paid for, that was provided by a therapist working for her. But I was very dissatisfied with her business practices as a whole, and disgusted that the one time in my life I have a tragic event that not only resulted in the loss of my car but also the loss of my ability to continue in a career, I cannot move on from it.

******** ****** took my ******* ****** class on January 20 2019.  Attached is her signed registration form which includes my Refund Policy.  She was not owed a refund.  If I promised her one, there should be documentation of that communication.  I would not have offered an option to take a later class since (because of the Pandemic) I did not hold another class until 2022.I have checked my email records and in the past 4 years I have only received 2 emails from her in total.  Those emails (see attached) contained a request to be taken off the email list.  The first time I removed her from the Mail Chimp email list.  I did not realize she was also on the gmail list.  When I received the second request, I removed her from that list.  I have not received 4 or more requests.  And, I have never received any communication about a refund. As a matter of fact, I have never gotten any kind of communication from her regarding her "dissatisfaction" or her "disgust" If I had, I would have certainly made an attempt to clear things up with her.   Also, she never received a massage from anyone on my staff.  I have records that she was adjusted by a chiropractor that I shared space with.  He was not my staff member. I can understand that she is hurting and traumatized by the car accident and the loss of her massage career.  For that, I have compassion.  However, I did nothing to cause those circumstances nor did I do anything to harm or defraud her.  This complaint has come as a complete surprise about something that happened 5 years ago.
