      I give this company a 1 on customer service and reliability. On 09-08-23 I was informed via email that I was approved to obtain an Immigration Consultant Bond for one year for the amount of $2,188.00 and it gave me the option of installment payments. The initial amount was of $647.00 and the leyend within the email states that I should be receiving some kind of documentation between 1-2 business days. The bond processor’s name is Linda H ([email protected]). I have called several times and the other reps tell me that at least by now I should have received the financial application. As of today it has been 10 calendar days and I have not received any kind of documentation or even a courtesy email updating me on the status of the process. I even called today and was lucky enough to speak to LindaH asking her about the process and if this company is running SCAMS!!! I wish to speak to a supervisor or administrator! I need to know if they will proceed and if not I would like a reimbursement.

        I am the operations manager at Surety Bonds Direct and this has been escalated to my attention. I have huddled with the team and we are working to get this handled as quickly as possible. You should have the financing agreement in your email, once we get that back, we can proceed with the issuance process. I do apologize at the length of time it has taken to get this completed. I will personally monitor this bond through issuance to make sure it is handled in a timely manner. I do appreciate you reaching out and allowing me the opportunity to fix this.

      I purchased a bond to start the licensing process as a contractor in San Antonio, Texas. Purchase date was December 16th, 2022 but the expiration date was December 31, 2022. When I inquired about the immediate expiration and not a year as stated in the email and the advertised 1 year bond. They renewed the bond January 1 but requested an ADDITIONAL $100 to renew as the bond they issued was for 15 total days. This company then mailed the city stating they canceled the bond. The confusion lies with the original bond being issued and expiring in 2022.

      Good Afternoon!

        I am the Operations Manager at Surety Bonds Direct and I wanted to take a moment to thank you for you reaching out. This issue was escalated to my attention today by my Service Manager. Upon looking over the account, it appears that this bond has a fixed expiration. This means that regardless of when it is purchased, it has to expire on 12/31 and be renewed for the following year. I do see that you only had it for 2 weeks before it expired. We reached out to the surety company who issued the bond and we got this resolved for you today. We agree that paying full price for a bond that lasted 2 weeks is crazy and we conveyed this to the surety. We were able to get them to reinstate the bond for the full year and we assumed all cost for this premium as a courtesy. We have emailed you the reinstatement letter rescinding the cancellation and the bond renewal. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience and thank you for giving us an opportunity to help resolve it.

      I have now purchased 3 bonds from this company the first bond rejected from the county was filled out incorrectly due to customer service not being willing to listen to what was needed and insisting they knew what was required in a county on the other side of the country. This bond has had to be fixed 3 times now, and I have paid for overnight shipping twice, one of those times a notarized document was edited without being re-notarized I have both documents to prove this was done, not exactly a legitimate or professional way to deal with legal paperwork that could potentially need to stand before court. Hoping that things will be right when this document arrives the third time. The second document was rejected because it also was filled out incorrectly. I will have to wait for this document now to be corrected and probably get the same run around I got with the first. When you submit the request for the bond it asks what information to put in and this company still makes the decision to put whatever they want in it, they have no idea what documents are actually needed and think they know better than the person with the requirements from the county sitting right in front of them in writing. This company is costing my business money everyday I have to wait for documents to be corrected because they are arrogant and will not follow instructions. None of this can be denied as I have the documents they sent in both of these instances and the emails from both counties stating they are incorrect. I should not have to pay a $100 for each document and $80 in shipping costs and over a week later still not have the information I need. This is absolute poor customer service and if any other company did this they would be held accountable and refund their services. Companies work hard to maintain a rating in here then people like this pay to have a rating while not being professional. I don't even want to know if my 3rd bond is going to be correct or not when it arrives.

      Date: April 30, 2021 Amount: $3602 Surety Bond was paid to provide 2 bonds to ********************* Performance Bond and Maintenance Bond; Surety Bonds Direct has not responded to our several requests for refund of $3602 charged on credit card 4/30/2021 Requesting refund as Surety Bond did not provide service paid for over 10 weeks ago. Order numbers: ********** and ********** We have sent registered letters to their locations addressed to Dylan S*******, SR Acct Manager and Jason O******, Product Mngt., expressing our disappointment with the run-around we've gotten since the money was debited from our credit card. Every time we call the Senior bonds Specialist Taylor B***** or Kate Tobakos, Customer Service Associate, there's no answer or they claim they have to get back and of course, they never did. We believe this is a fraudulent company that does not deliver on what products are paid for in advance.

      On 6/17/2021 Surety Bonds Direct was paid $3150.00 for a (BMC-84) Surty Freight Bond lasting 12 months, process takes 10 business days it's past 10 business days I have called and left several messages and no return calls no freight surety bond either I do have the receipt but can't upload can send copy some other way

He has yet to respond to our phone call and emails. We can not complete his bond request without his help and the client is unresponsive to date.

      I filed a complaint several months ago. Surety Bonds Direct was not able to issue me a bond over a 5 month period. After the complaint, they sent the Bond overnight. It was for the wrong amount. I was able to get a bond from another company within days. However, in the 5 month period dealing with Surety, I paid for 2 bonds, They promised they could refund my money, but they never sent me the information for it to get resolved. They owe me $600 for the bonds I paid for.

He identified that he made an error as it relates to the requested amount of the refund. The refund amount in question is $300.00. He confirmed receipt of both bonds and will mail them back to us so we may cancel them and issue the requested refund.
