In Dec. 2021, a friend referred me to Port City Custom Auto Paint and Body Shop. Shortly after, I contacted the owner. We agreed to paint my truck for $2400. I was promised a "Showroom" type paint job. On Jan. 10th, 2022, I dropped off my truck along with $1200. Over 2 weeks later, I saw my truck for the 1st time. I was devastated. There were paint drips, runs and overspray everywhere. I kept my composure and took pictures of the imperfections as the owner placed yellow tape on those numerous areas. I left another $500 for as agreed upon by myself and the owner. With the promise that all problems would be corrected. I took the truck at that time with the promise of a complete re-do. I waited for the owner to contact me when she found a reputable auto painter ( Which I thought she had the entire time) I brought the truck back about a month later for a re-do. After leaving it there for about 2 or 3 days. I received a call from the owner saying it was completed and I can take a look at it. Upon looking at the 2nd attempt and $700, it was better but, still had numerous imperfections. At this point, I took my truck knowing that the shop was in over its head. Bottom line, the agreed upon 3 year warranty couldn't be honored due to the lack of a skilled auto painter to complete the job. After spending $2400 for a worst than sub-par paint job. I feel so used and mislead. I've texted and called the owner and received no response. Any assistance I can get from the BBB will be greatly appreciated.
