We bought the car on 02/27/25 we tooled the car back on the same day and told dealership it was leaking fluids. The dealership told us to speak with warranty. The warranty stated that they would not cover a new engine. The was only driven for 2 days and it never overheated. The repair shop stated it had 3 codes that was previously cleared out but stored in the system for running hot.the dealer refused to help with repair or giving another car.we put 4000 down and have an car note for an car that is not working.

    Business Response

    Hello,
This vehicle was purchased on 2/27/2025. We purchased this
vehicle ourselves on 10/25/2024 and have not only had numerous test drives but
drove it ourselves for several hours to get the vehicle to our dealership. We
also start and run our vehicles often to not only charge the batteries but fill
them with gas, ect. There were never any issues with this vehicle reported to
us and never any notated by us. This vehicle was fine when it left the
    dealership.
The customer test drove this vehicle with another person,
they examined it and purchased it AS-IS from our dealership but chose to
finance through an outside finance company and purchase a warranty from them.
The only thing we did was sell an AS-IS vehicle, which is all we ever do.
Shorly after the customer’s niece said she saw liquid coming
out the bottom of the vehicle. We asked if it had a color or if it was clear
like normal water from the ac unit. She did not know and stated she had already
moved the vehicle somewhere else. We had an independent third-party mechanic
inspect it and there was absolutely no sign of ANY liquid. He checked all the
fluid levels, and they were at normal levels so it was clear it had not leaked
    oil, water or antifreeze.
At some point in time the customer reported to us that they
took the vehicle to someone to get her oil change, fluids, ect days later (even though she was told by the third party that everything was good). We have no idea
what was done to the vehicle after we sold it.
Afterwards, the customer had an issue that they weren’t sure
what it was and the customer took the vehicle to ****** ********** to inspect
the vehicle. After their inspection, the customer made false claims to us about
****** saying it was an issue when it left our dealership. When we spoke to
******, they confirmed that the issue is one of those things where it just
happens one day and it wasn’t pre-existing. They broke the motor down and found
that the issue was the customer ran the vehicle hot. The vehicle won’t run long
once it runs hot. ****** stated the customer ran the vehicle hot AFTER it was
    purchased.
We have spoken to the finance company, her warranty company,
a third party mechanic and a third party mechanic shop (that she took the
vehicle to) and everyone has confirmed this was not a pre-existing issue. We
are very sorry they are experiencing issues, and we don’t want anyone to have an
issue period. However, this has absolutely nothing to do with us since it was
AS-IS but even more so because it has been explained to them by outside mechanic
sources that it occurred, because of their doing, AFTER the point of sale.
