I was trying to obtain a permit from Town of Ansonia Ct and was re routed to permit.com. I was unaware it was not the city site that Ansonia uses to give out their permits. I filled in the information and paid over 600$ I have not received a permit. I called Ansonia and they said Red flags! This wasn't right. I called the number on the permit.com site and spoke with a lovely women named Jill she explained that they were not connected to Ansonia but could help with the permit but my account owed money. They wanted me to pay another 600 + dollars! I asked for my money back and an email was sent explaining I couldn't get a refund if it was longer than four hours! I have been trying to reach the finance department but every time I press that option we get disconnected. I have left two messages, no return call. Makes no sense that they can keep my money and not submit my information to the permit office. I signed the document because I need the permit, I don't need a refund I need the permit. I did think it was strange I couldn't get my money back after four hours but I figured I was working with the permit department for Ansonia Ct. They didn't ask for any more money, at the time, but when I called they stated I owed more money. Very frustrating not to speak to anyone. Please help. Thanks

Application: ***** Reference: **** **** Task: Mobile Home Municipality: ***** County Address: ** ******** ***** ** ****** ************ XXXXX ref:**************************************** Permit Application Transaction Details Number: ********* Date: 10/10/2022 10:18 AM Method: MasterCard ****** Permit Application - Application for Mobile Home Permit in ***** County $297.30 Subtotal: $297.30 Order Total: $297.30 I searched permits for my Township - ****** *** I didn't realize this site had redirected me and the application that I filled out was for Permits.com. It showed my Township. This was very misleading. The next day when I read my receipt I realized I had filed the application in the incorrect place. I completed the application on a Holiday when they were not open, when I called the next day to try to cancel my permit, there was no answer. They refuse to refund 100% of my money because I didn't cancel within 4 hours of filing my permit. They claim they will refund my fee minus $79 for their efforts. They were not even open, they did nothing. This is not the service I was applying for. The site is misleading and appears to be a total scam. I made the assumption that Permits.com was a site the Township utlized to create permits. It would only make sense that in today's world I would be apply to file a permit with my township for an application on line. This is the not the case. I want a full refund of $297.30.
