The contract was for **** hogging and mulching ($1,800) and Weed Control Spraying ($400). Total: $2,200. **** hogging and mulching was performed on 9-11-25. During this work, debris was directly observed striking vinyl siding on back porch damaging vinyl. ***** pointed out the vinyl damage and requested a walk through with the *******, *******. ***** discovered that the a/c unit was damaged. ******* informed ***** that the owner would reach out to her about the damage. ***** offered to pay. ******* told her to hold onto her check for now. On 9-15-25, ****** (owner) and ******* ******* (HVAC tech) arrived at house to inspect the damage with ***** and ***** present. On behalf of ******, ******* said that he inspected the A/C unit. He attempted to straighten out fins as much as he could without breaking them. Even though some fins were broken, he also straightened wire on exterior cage. ******* stated that the A/C unit was functional. ***** asked ******* how much it would cost to replace the damaged parts. ******* said he couldn't answer that. ****** offered to repair vinyl and provide two year warranty on the damage to the a/c unit. ****** never made another offer to remedy the damage. ****** told ***** that he was not replacing the unit. ***** paid $80 for inspection and estimate from independent ************. That tech said unit was functional and making this repair could possibly cause more complications to the unit. However, the estimate to repair damage was $1,212.14. This does not include exterior cage. Weed control was performed on 9-17-25 with corresponding payment of $400 being sent by certified mail on 9-18-25. On 9-18-25 the damaged vinyl was repaired. The evening of 9-18-25, ****** visited home after being told to leave paperwork in mailbox. He handed her his offer of a 2 year warranty. He requested immediate signature and payment which was denied. We believe we are being treated unfairly and the contractor is not taking responsibility for his negligence.

Good afternoon,  we received your complaint and thought we were on the same page. After the **** hogging was completed my crew called me to inform me that damage was done to clients siding and ** surround. I immediately stopped by to access the damage and talked with owner and told them my plan to repair the siding and have a ********** come inspect the ** for issues.   I was able to get the siding and had it installed within a few days, as well as ******* heat and air come out and inspect, test and do fin repair on outside unit. After his inspection he confirmed the unit was functioning properly and was only a cosmetic issue and did not need to be replaced.  At that time Saw-Rite decided to give the client a 2 year guarantee on the unit to give them piece of mind. The client and ** repair man informed me that the unit was 5 years old. So I thought that was a fair guarantee to client, and gave them reassurance of our commitment to our client. We paid our ** guy for an inspection as well as a siding guy to replace the 1 piece of siding, totaling $350. If the client would like to have the unit repaired we would like to be paid for the balance of outstanding bill owed. The total owed by client at that point is $587.86
