    Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because: Piedmont Plumbers did come out today, but I was told to wait 48 hours until the drain was set. That means that I won't know if it is no longer leaking until I am able to run the water in the shower. I will respond with an accept or reject after I am able to test it out by the end of this week.

    Sincerely,

10/18/2022: We noticed water damage underneath one of our sinks due to leaking. Problem described to Piedmont over the phone, and pictures requested as documentation of the problem.
10/20/2022: Piedmont came out to inspect the problem. Plumber was not sure of the problem but suspected a defective cartridge. I was instructed to contact Delta for a replacement cartridge.
11/4/2022: Installation of replacement cartridge didn’t help, so Piedmont told me to have Delta send a new faucet. Delta gave me troubleshooting tips and requested additional documentation before providing the faucet.
12/21/2022: Called Piedmont to update. I was unable to replicate the leak using Delta’s instructions. I discovered that the faucet was not mounted correctly, which allowed water on the countertop to leak down through the faucet mounting. I was told that the leaking was not due to any installation error on Piedmont’s part.
1/12/2023: I contacted ***** **** *** for a second opinion. He determined that the faucets weren’t installed correctly and discovered that other faucets (the left faucet in the guest bath and the two faucets in the master bath) were not installed well. Among other things, silicone wasn’t applied properly, which allowed water to penetrate the gasket and rust the bottom base of the faucet. Video and photo taken as documentation.
1/13/2023: Sent email to Piedmont along with documentation. In the email I briefly outlined the situation. Followed up with a call to Piedmont and was transferred to Johnny W*****, Piedmont’s service manager, who requested additional documentation by email. He said that Piedmont does not use silicone because it’s not required, even though the installation manual specifically indicates that silicone should be applied. He said he would not replace the four faucets. Despite additional documentation provided, Piedmont reiterated that they have no responsibility to fix or replace the faucets because they did nothing wrong in installation.
