      I followed everything LCPW told me to do to keep my bill at normal price. They are the only power company for the city. EVERYONE in the city is stating their bill has been price gauged due to being the only company in the city. My bill went up 200 dollars more than it has ever been. Some people have went up 400 dollars randomly. This company is charging more because they can. You call to inquire and they are rude. They will hang up on you. They have no explanation other than that is what the numbers say.

      Thank you for reaching about to share your concerns about your latest utility bill. We understand that increased bills due to abnormal weather conditions had adverse impacts on our customers. We do our best to inform our customers on ways to conserve utilities and reduce these higher than normal bills. The below average temperatures we have recently experienced have impacted our customer base collectively. LCPW will be glad to re-read your meter and also provide a free energy audit to point our specific ways to save in your home at your request. LCPW is also willing to work with our customers to allow them more time to pay their bill if needed. Please contact our office if you would like to further discuss your account.

      I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. 


      I called and was promised that someone would come out to reread my meter. I’ve waited for two days and no one called or emailed me the reread. Everyone in the city has a bill that mysteriously went up during January every year. My bill is 55 percent higher than it was last year. I really believe they are price gouging because they are the only electric company for the city.
