The apartment management should be ashamed of themselves. Taking advantage of people who rent. I gave them 60 day notice and was told I needed to give 30?
They do not accept any notice that is not exactly on the 30th day. Never have I heard this.
I disputed this fact before I left and they charged me for days at the apartment after a physical walk through and giving up all keys. The other policies they have enforced are outrageous and malicious. I have heard this from many other renters. Then sent to collection. I gave plenty of notice and had no access to the apartment for the days they charged.

I have a lease through the apartment complex and lived there for 6 months before I had to leave. They could not take me off of the lease, which I understand why. I could not pay the rent due to the circumstances of why I had to leave. They issued an eviction notice to me via email, as well as to the actual apartment. The eviction was on July 14, 2024. Through contact with them, we agreed to a 30 day extension for me to pay the rent due from the previous months leading to the eviction so I would not be sent to collections on July 14, 2024. On July 22, 2024 I reached out saying I had the funds and was looking at how to provide the payment. After correspondence on the 23, I found out that if I pay the balance it would cancel the eviction that was already served and they already charged me for August rent. They will now not respond to emails or phone calls inquiring about if the eviction was completed as they said it would be and why I needed to pay by August 14, 2024 the $4041 or if they will not be pursuing the eviction like they previously stated and I will be held responsible for the apartment nobody resides at, paying rent, until the lease is up November 16, 2024. They are claiming that the other person on the lease has not handed the keys over, however, ******* ****** left the keys in the apartment on July 14, 2024 when he moved out following the eviction notice we received.

    Hello,

This is a very cut and dry situation. ********* and ******* are both on the lease and equally responsible financially regardless of who physically lives there. Until possession is relinquished (we receive an email or keys from ****) the apartment is still under eviction due to nonpayment.  We have not heard anything from him. Catherine agreed to let them pay off the balance AFTER MOVE OUT, 30 days before it would be sent to collections (as opposed to immediately). As of right now, that is irrelevant. All that needs to happen is **** to tell us in writing he is out of the unit or turn in keys. I think the confusion here is regarding where ********* thinks her money will go (to a final account statement balance) vs. where it will actually go if she pays right now (rent, utilities, etc. to cancel the eviction and continue the lease).

    Thanks,

    Alex V******
