    My home had a leak in the roof that caused some damage to the roof and interior dry wall. I contacted *********** insurance who then put me in touch with Paul Davis Restoration. Paul Davis Restoration did not perform any services at my residence. PDR simply contracted out ***** Roofing to come take a look at the damage to my roof due to a leak. The technician that was on site advised he received a request for tarping of the roof and mitigation from PDR, who received this request from *********** insurance. I told the technician while he was here that I do not request a tarp on my roof and he said "I have to put it on there so the insurance company pays us, but there will be no cost to you". The technician placed a tarp on my roof without my permission and left. I gave it 2 months and no one contacted me about the next steps, at which point I removed the tarp from my roof and completed the repairs myself, including the nail holes that came about from ***** Roofing placing a tarp on my roof without authorization. No repairs were done on anyone's end except my own. Jenny D****** of Paul Davis is now attempting to place a lien on my home per SC law until I pay them $696.24 for services that never happened.

    Worst experience in my life! After a fire at our 11 month old home, Paul Davis Restoration was referred to us by our insurance company for clean out and debris mediation. While everything in the beginning was good it quickly started to get ugly. Our home sat for months with our contents in it that were not damaged, fermenting in the smoke and soot ridden atmosphere. When asked about it, typical response was we are short staffed or we are coming over tomorrow. This whole ordeal went on from April till mid August before everything was cleared out of the home. Paul Davis was to clean and sanitize all salvageable contents, I can say this did not happen with the exception of large hard goods like dressers and other furniture. When we received our possessions back many of of my wife's collectibles, photos, wedding glassware etc was broken, missing or completely destroyed. When confronted about immediately they fight began we need photo documentation, receipts, the packaging etc.. We supplied them with numerous photos but could not give them receipts as much of this was 20+ years old and all the packaging which we did have was lost in the fire. So Paul Davis got paid to a tune of 20k plus and all we got missing, soot covered, broken and destroyed possessions in return. STAY CLEAR OF THESE SHYSTERS THEY WILL STEAL and SCAM YOU AND YOUR INSURANCE COMPANY

    I will say this as Small business owner, I would never challenge a customer like Paul Davis did to us. The customer is not always right, but when they have physical proof of errors or mistakes done by your company you own it and make it right, not ask the customer to jump through hoops or do your job to evaluate the cost of the damages occurred. Many of the items damaged were irreplaceable and to put a cost to those items as the owner is nearly impossible as they may have had significant sentimental value, or where limited in production or where hand made for that person specifically.
