Gibsons came out to my home to do some sewage work to a building I have on my property. They attached the new work into the current septic tank. When Brett was here the first time he also pumped out our septic tank at a cost of $400. 28 days later we started having issues with the septic system. It was backing up into the house, we were not able to flush our toilets, or use any water in our house for four days. The issues started on a Saturday and Brett came back out to the house the following Wednesday to see what was going on. He told us then that he believed a tree root has caused damage to our drain lines. We told him that before he came out and done this work we had never had any issues with the septic before. We just moved into the place in March, but from March to September there were absolutely no issues. He charged me another $350 to pump the septic tank. He did advise me that he could dig a pit and route all the grey water into this pit and that would solve all my issues with the tank filling but that would cost aroun$5,800. After the hurricane we noticed that we were still having issues and called Brett again. He came back out to the house and talked with us and said he believed that the issues we were having were caused by him, so he sent another guy out three days later to pump the septic tank again at no cost to us. He said it would be a part of the hurricane relief. The gentleman that Brett sent out here even said that he believed that Brett may have accidently clipped one of the drain lines. He told us to call Brett and ask him to come dig about ten feet off the septic because he believed that where the problem was. I called Brett and discussed this with him. He agreed to come back out and redig where I wanted him to but if we found that he had not clipped a line he would charge me $600 but if it was a clipped line he would fix it. I agreed to these terms however now I can not get him to respond.

    To Whom It May Concern:
I filed a complaint with the BBB against Gibson’s Dozer and Backhoe Service on 11-18-24. I would just like to go on record and state that I have since spoke with Mr. Gibson, the owner of the company, and he and his team have come out and fixed the problem. They came today and realized that a line was in fact clipped so his crew repaired the line as well as refunded me the $350 from the second time he pumped my septic tank. Is there anyway to mark this claim as resolved and remove it?

    Thank you so much
