I bought my house with Haro Group in September of 2023, the inspection included that there was damage /leaking in the crawl space from the plumbing under my house. They found an issue with the plumbing and that not being drained out to the main line connecting to the street. Therefore, this has left me with flooding in my crawl space, damage to my personal belongings. As well as, all of the plumbing and draining being backed up into my front yard. This is now killing my lawn, bushes, flowers and structure of my yard/ house. There is sewage being backed up from any use of any toilet or shower/tub straight into my front yard and flooding still occurring in my crawl space. I have this repair order in writing that this was supposed to be repaired before I bought the house. They “jimmy rigged” something in my crawl space I guess to give it a quick fix. However, still after a year I am having a more serious issue. I have pictures and my closing documents that show this was supposed to be repaired before purchase of this house. now I am being told I have to pay for these repairs. I cannot reach anyone in the higher ups in this business so I need some type of answer. The real estate agent Coretta, not once has reached out after the sale of the house a YEAR ago, knowing there was a plumbing issue.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/05/2024

Back in October of 2023, as soon as this situation was brought to our attention, our Broker-in-Charge (BIC) researched it the best he could and spoke with you and the listing agent multiple times. As a side note, our BIC let you know then that he would be your sole point of contact, so Coretta was not ignoring you. The listing agent provided us with a video, which you have, that was done by their repairman after the repairs were made and prior to closing. The repairman had run water through the tub and sinks, and flushed the toilet, and then went into the crawl space to make sure there were no leaks, and per their video, there weren’t any. In addition, the repair man went back out to your house on the evening of October 10th, 2023, and he said he snaked the drain line (he said he did it with 2 different bits and used 100’ of snake even though the house is only about 43’ away from the street). It was his opinion that there is a drain issue on the main drain line that belongs to the City, as he could not find any issues in the line from your house to the street.
We are truly sorry that you are in this situation, but there is nothing further that we can do for you and filing a complaint against The Haro Group I KW Historic District with the BBB is misplaced.
