Lighting Termite is nothing less than a scam. They were shut down previously, due to negligence and fraud and reopened under the sons name. I purchased a house with a termite bond from Lightning Termite only to discover years later when i tried to sell the house that they hid the damage by repairing only a cosmetic feature meanwhile they lied countless times about the termites that were in my house, which i showed them live termites, and they would refuse to treat. I even purchase another bond for another termite from them and they were more than happy to take my $ but NEVER treat my house; literally would tell me that there were no termites when i was showing them a termite (i mean what?)... In the END i would end up spending 50k+ to replace ALL wood and encase my crawlspace. The damage was so extensive it is shocking! Guess what Lighting told me (remember they were happy to take my hard earned $) ... the owner of the company kindly told me to f off. There is a special place for SCAMMERS like this. i only left 1 star because 0 wasn't an option.

I kindly disagree with the story as you portray it. Lightning Termite bought out Larry's Termite in 2002. You purchased a home that had an existing contract that excluded Formosa termites in 2016. Excessive moisture and Formosa termites were discovered upon annual inspection in 2019. A treatment was performed and Formosa coverage was added. All repairs were your responsibility for said infestation as stated in your contract. Lightning Termite has not authorized or made any repairs to your property. A termite tube was found in the garage in April 2021. Upon scraping the tube, it was discovered to be inactive and a preventative treatment was made to the interior garage wall. In May 2021, the homeowner showed us inactive termite damage from 2019 infestation. We went back out in June due to claims of active termites. No active termites were found. Customer stated they had a video/evidence of termite active and no evidence was ever shared. These interactions were all pleasant. As far as the cost of repairs to sell the home, Encasement and fungicide treatments are never the responsibility of any the termite/pest control company with whom the contract is held.
