      We had a very disappointing and frustrating experience with Carolina Appliance Repair, which was assigned to us through our Lowe’s warranty service. We scheduled an appointment for a technician to inspect our washing machine between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Despite waiting all day, no one showed up—and worse, there was zero communication during the scheduled window.
      At 2:15 PM, after the time window had passed, I sent emails, left voicemails and sent texts to the numbers provided I also messaged their Facebook page. Nearly 45 minutes later, I finally received a response saying the technician had the "wrong number" and that it was disconnected. This was false—the number they mentioned was the same one we used to speak with them the day before, and it was working perfectly. Lowe’s also confirmed the correct number and email were provided on the service ticket. This felt like an excuse, not a real attempt to resolve anything.
      When I pointed this out, there was no apology—just a message that the business was now closed for the weekend and our appointment was canceled. After wasting an entire day, this response was shocking. The lack of professionalism, accountability, and courtesy was unacceptable.
      Out of concern, I checked their reviews on Google and Facebook. I found multiple similar complaints from other customers: missed appointments, no-shows, and poor communication. More disturbingly, some women reported feeling unsafe being alone with the owner, Scott. That kind of feedback is deeply troubling and unacceptable for an in-home service provider.
      This experience wasn’t just inconvenient—it was disgraceful. For a company endorsed by Lowe’s, this level of service is incredibly disappointing. I strongly urge others to research carefully before trusting Carolina Appliance Repair with your home. Based on our experience and what I’ve read, I cannot recommend them to anyone.

      This company is ****. They don't communicate effectively with the customer about the times they coming out! Hey switch times and when you call never can get them. The co owner Scott comes out in street clothes and smelling of alcohol and doesn't stay to diagnose the problem long enough and then comes with rudeness. The technician has said that people have waited two months to get their refrigerator fixed. I think that's ridiculous especially if you are a paying customer.This company should not be in business

      Owner has SERIOUS ISSUES RUDEST AND MOST UNPROFESSIONAL person in a business world. I've been in business for 30+years and have never experienced an owner like this. My tech James was Top Class this is a case where owner should learn from an employee. UNBELIEVABLE

      My extended service warranty agency set up a service repair with Carolina Repair Service to repair my refrigerator’s ice maker. As the other reviews state, Scott was rude and completely unprofessional. For 3 months I waited for a part that never came. I only called twice during that time to check on the status. When I called the last time, I was told there was not ETA of when the part would come in. After questioning why this is acceptable and what could be done about it, the Owner said “customers think they are privileged and don’t understand how it’s not the businesses fault the part isn’t in.” So I contacted the extended warranty company. They said that Carolina Appliance Repair was not sending them any updates. I communicated that to the owner, Scott, who said “they [warranty service plan reps] lie all the time.” I have never met a more rude, unprofessional, untruthful Business Owner. I’m still shocked at how horrible this experience was and that it seems to be their norm. Terrible!!

      When they come to fix your appliance they tell you they will be there 8-5pm.
      1. Took a whole day off from work so they can look at our dryer.
      2. Took another day off so they could fix it.
      3. Still vibrating so they want me to take another day off to diagnose it again.
      4. They also want me to take another day off to come and fix it again.
      Politely asked can you give a me narrower range of time?
      Answer: If you don't like it you are welcome to call someone else.
      Very sad what things have come up to...

      I had my nearly week-old appointment cancelled last minute by Carolina Appliance Repair. They wanted to reschedule for 8 days later than original appt. Spoke with owner who was rude and laughed at my situation and said my only option is to call Whirlpool to reschedule with someone else. When I told him that was unacceptable, he said "guess what, we won't be coming out at all now". I've filed a complaint with Kitchenaid.

      Do not use or call this company they will cuss you out on the phone and excuse you of never leaving voicemails and tell the customers its your fault! Please run far away from this company please!!! Lucky i caught on and found someone else to repair my dryer and not them after they lied and never came through with the work order from my warranty home department!

      DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!
      Absolutely do not recommend this company. They are extremely rude and unprofessional. They were scheduled to come to my home to diagnose an issue with my washer through Maytag’s website, however they showed up, told us to order a $300.00 (didn’t tell us where to order it from), and then the technician essentially told us it might not fix the issue and we would be out of our $300.00. He charged us $95.00 for our service call and left. We then tried calling the owner to explain that as a customer this is unacceptable and he was VERY rude and disrespectful. Will never use them again or recommend them to anyone. I have also alerted Maytag of this TERRIBLE customer service.

      Very rude, would not recommend. When they first came out I had to wait 6 weeks on the part for my dish washer to come in. They came to repair it and did not see if the appliance was working properly. The heating element was never an issue from the start but didn't work after they installed the part that was broken in the first place. They also broke the clips that hold the dish washer to the countertop which chipped my counter. The dish washer was left lopsided also. When they were scheduled to come back to fix it I was called and told they had to cancel the appointment and couldn't give me a date to reschedule. When I told the guy I had to take off work for this he told me he wouldn't service my appliance anymore and would send my claim back to whirlpool. They called back saying they could come but I do not want to do business with someone that has no customer service skills and as rude as the man I spoke to.
