    Oct. 21, 2023 I signed up to be a member at the Georgetown VFW Post 6444. My wife also signed up to be an auxiliary member. We provided the necessary documents showing i was an eligible veteran and paid the yearly dues by Check. November goes by and I hear nothing. Go in to their bar mid December and I am told we were denied because we have "affiliation" with another ************** in town. They refuse to give a refund and my personal documents back. They have my DD214 with my social security and personal information on it. If I do not get a refund in a reasonable time, I will report it as a theft through my bank and get local authorities involved.

    On August 18,2023 Georgetown Memorial VFW Post **** advertised a happy hour on their ******** webpage from 6-7pm and a pool tournament. We drove all the way from *********** to attend only to find out the bartender ***************************** would not honor what they advertised. She stated it was for members only despite what their ad said. The ad specifically stated the public was welcome. I only found this out when she billed me for my drinks. Due to false advertising I want my money back and this business held accountable for their false advertising.

    Georgetown vfw post 6444 advertised a golf tournament for a fund ***** for a golf tournament as a non profit. I looked on the ** website and they have a suspended status under the secretary of state. they are going around soliciting and begging for money for this event even when they cant. before i knew about this i sponsored one of the holes on their golf course. When I found out i contacted the *** and asked for a refund, their treasurer told me to mind my own business and i wouldn't get a refund this was last week march. now if you look at their ******** page ****************************************************** the event is canceled. I want my money back!

    Due to unfortunate circumstances Georgetown's VFW Post **** had to cancel our annual golf tournament fundraiser. We notified all parties via ********* other social media, and with a telephone call from representatives from the Post. We also informed all parties that they would receive a 100 percent reimbursement refund for their contributions. Our team is currently working on this, which all parties will receive through the ***** If this is not suitable, please contact the post as ************. We would be happy to schedule an appointment where you can be reimbursed personally.
