They told me to buy two more new ties from ******* and send the ones that are no good back. Thats crazy. They got to see the problem of the tire first its gonna cost me $600 for tires and then how am I gonna return it back to *******? How am I gonna get my money back?

      Business Response

We are sorry that you have had issues with our tires and the warranty process. We reviewed the file notes and your recent phone call to our office, which noted a noise concern at ****** miles. In most cases, if a tire has a manufacturing-related noise issue, it would be noticeable at installation or shortly after the first rotation. Given the mileage and nature of the concern, noise issues at this stage are often related to tire wear and are not generally covered under warranty.
That said, this assessment is based only on the information provided. The tires should still be inspected either by a local Continental dealer or submitted by a dealer to Continental for further evaluation. We also see that the warranty process was explained during your call, including the option to visit another local dealer for inspection, since there was an issue with the original place of purchase. However, this option was declined.
Unfortunately, because we do not process warranty claims directly, we recommend contacting our office regarding file number ********** to request another Continental dealer in your area who can inspect the tires. Since you are not returning to the original place of purchase, please bring proof of purchase. If the tires were installed at a different dealer, you will also need to provide the installation invoice showing the vehicle, tire details, and mileage at the time of installation. We also recommend bringing records showing the tires were rotated on schedule, every ***** to ***** miles.

I want to file a complaint on this business: Continental Tire North America, Inc. 1800 Continental Blvd. I purchased a new **** vehicle that had their tires on it and with just ******************************************************************************** Big O Tires said the tires were way to thin made to drive on. I want compensated for my cost of $1000 of towing, tires, and my life. HELP! **** ******

      Business Response

      Date: 07/22/2025

Thank you for submitting your complaint to the Better Business Bureau. We take your concerns very seriously and appreciate the opportunity to address them.

The tires on your vehicle are covered under two separate warranty programs: the vehicles bumper-to-bumper warranty and the Continental New Vehicle Tire Warranty. Our warranty requires the return of the original tire for inspection in order to process a warranty claim. For details regarding coverage under the bumper-to-bumper warranty, we recommend reviewing your vehicles warranty guide.

Unfortunately, the servicing location you visited is not a Continental Tire dealer. However, if the tires are still available and the location works with a Continental Tire distributor, a warranty return may still be possible. In that case, the distributor can help facilitate the return of the tires for warranty inspection.

If the tires are no longer available for inspection, we would not be able to process a warranty credit.

I am rejecting this response because: I want refunded for all I had to do because of this new **** vehicle have 4 BAD tires on it as you can see in pic.  Big O Tires said wire wall was wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy too thin to drive on.  They said they were made wrong and not to their standards either?  ********* looked at them also and said the same thing... way too thin made to drive a vehicle on.  I want full refund of my expense and I lost a full day of work because of it, had to get towed at $125 and all this was about $1000 out of my pocket!

      Business Response

      Date: 07/22/2025

Thanks for sending over the recent purchase invoice and photo.
Based on the *** listed on the invoice, this appears to be a 2019 **** Transit. However, the tire shown in the photos was manufactured in the 31st week of 2023, so the vehicles original bumper-to-bumper and new vehicle tire warranties wouldnt apply in this case.
From the photos, the damage looks consistent with extended use while the tire had low or no air pressure. Because this tire isnt original equipment, wed also need a copy of the original purchase invoice, along with the tire itself, to move forward with any warranty review.
We recommend checking with the servicing location to see if they still have the tire on hand for inspection. If so, they can contact our office at ************ and reference web inquiry #******-000004 for assistance with submitting the tire through their distributor.

I am rejecting this response because: This is a new vehicle with VIN #: ***************** (big O did not update since last vehicle in their records)

New 2023 **** Transit Connect XLT and had only 8000 miles on it when it all happened.

I called and no bad tires there.  I have pics and that shows everything... and NO tires were up to correct PSI every day.  I want refunded.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/22/2025

Thank you for confirming that the invoice contained incorrect vehicle information and for providing the correct VIN, *****************, which corresponds to your 2023 **** Transit Connect XLT.
Unfortunately, as previously noted, because the tire in question is no longer available for inspection and the image provided shows damage that would require a physical evaluation to determine warranty eligibility, we are unable to offer a warranty credit or refund.

Made a warranty claim with Continental via Web Inquiry: 250707-000037 and communicated with ******. The tires have warped and a tire dealer provided a letter and pictures stating it appears to be a manufacturer defect. Received the following reply that indicates ****** never looked at, or didnt understand, what he was looking at, yet denies the claim. We have heard back from our PSE Manager. From the photos provided he suspects the condition could be caused by a poor alignment / high camber scenario. Signs of that are from the considerable wear marks on the inside tread shoulder. This is compounded by the higher temperatures seen in the summer months. He does not suspect that a manufacturing issues is present. If you disagree with the findings you are welcome to have an authorized retailer of ours send the tires back to our Service Center for an in person ************* response: There are no wear marks (near 100% tread depth is present). The entire inside circumferential diameter of each tire is simply bulged out. Subject tires are on the right side (front and back) of the vehicle (and same exact Continental VikingContact7 tires are on the left side). The left side tires are completely fine. No other tire wear like this has ever been experienced on this vehicle before

      Business Response

      Date: 07/10/2025

We apologize for the issues youve experienced and understand how frustrating tire concerns can be, especially with relatively new products.
Based on the photos emailed to us on July 8, 2025, our Product Service Engineering team determined that the uneven wear shown is consistent with alignment-related issues and not the result of a manufacturing defect. This type of wear may have been further accelerated by the use of the VikingContact 7, a winter tire intended for use in temperatures below 45F, during summer months.
We also see that youve been in touch with our office today and plan to have a local dealer contact us with their assessment of the tires. Once we receive that report, well be able to move forward with the next steps.

      Customer Answer

      Date: 07/10/2025

Again, the main argument of Continental for rejecting the claim is uneven wear.  As previously stated and clearly showing in the pictures, THERE IS NO WEAR, so how can the wear be uneven. The tires are distorted due to manufacturing issues as stated by numerous local tire experts whove seen them (and indeed, identical model Continental tires on the same vehicle are performing as expected).  Id also like to know where its documented that the tires are not to be used above 45 degF (this is absurd on the face of it). Continentals Limited Warranty allows for free replacement within the first 12 months.  Stated quite simply, Continental are using their position as a large corporation to slap aside their obligations to their customer.  Shame on **********************.

      Business Response

      Date: 07/11/2025

Uneven wear was the initial assessment based on your photos. We are currently waiting on the local dealers inspection. Alternatively, you may return the tires for warranty through the original place of purchase. Regardless, the tires must be removed from service as they are not recommended for use in temperatures above 45F.
Once we receive the local dealers inspection, we will proceed with the next steps.

Please note that the free replacement under the Total Confidence Plan Warranty applies to warrantable issues within the first 12 months or the first 2/32" of tread wear, and is typically handled through the original place of purchase. Issues due to misapplication (the use of winter tires in summer) is stated as excluded under Section 7 (WHAT IS NOT COVERED).

      Customer Answer

      Date: 07/11/2025

Who said the tires were used at over 45 degF?  I never did.  Pure speculation by Continental.  Every word coming from Continental is, it not us, no way, therefore it must be you.  Why was this tire model discontinued?  My speculation is that it was a failed design.  I will make it my lifes work to make sure every tire buyer in America knows this is how warranties are handled by Continental.  I have serious doubts I will ever see satisfaction from the warranty.

I have bought a 2026 Tesla Y juniper on 06/21/2025 and that is a week ago and this morning on 06/26/2025 I woke up to a flat tire on the rear passenger side in my Tesla due to defect on the side wall of the tire that caused the air to leak and end up with a flat tire . So I called ***** and they said the tires are not warranted but the warranty is through continental tire the Americas and the vehicle has only 280 miles on it and its brand new and 6 days old since I picked up from Tesla ************** . So I took the car to Tesla service **** and I was charged for a new tire replacement and the charge was 375 dollars . This is a BRAND NEW ************************************************************************************************************************************* my tire . There is several tears on the side wall of the tire and I am attaching pictures of the defective tire . This is A DEFECTIVE TIRE AND CONTINENTAL TIRES SHOULD PAY ME ****** DOLLARS THAT I PAID TO TESLA SERVICE **** FOR REPLACING THE TIRE OR SEND ME A REPLACEMENT TIRES SAME SIZE AND BRAND to replace the defective tire that was on the Tesla

      Business Response

      Date: 06/30/2025

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. After reviewing the images provided, the damage to the tire appears to be consistent with accidental or road hazard damage, rather than a manufacturing-related issue. However, we would be happy to conduct a final inspection of the tire to make a conclusive determination.

If the tire is still available, please contact our office at **************, referencing your phone number, Monday through Friday between 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM EDT. We will gladly arrange to have the tire picked up at no cost for a thorough inspection.

I am rejecting this response because:
I have already replaced the tire at Tesla service **** in ****************** and I already paid 376 dollars to replace the tire . This is a manufacturing defect in the tire and NOT road hazard . The car is BRAND NEW and only had it for a few days and it only has 280 miles in it .
continental tires ON YOUR WEBSITE you warranty your tires for one year against defects and road hazards and I have screen shots of the warranty taken from your website . BUT THIS IS A DEFECT IN THE TIRE AND NOT ROAD HAZARD . This is THE WORST tire I ever had on one of my cars and I have 10 cars

I WILL NEVER BUY continental tires FOR THE REST  OF MY LIFE AND I WILL MAKE SURE NONE OF MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS AND PATIENTS BUY CONTINENTAL TIRES

VERY LOW QUALITY ***** AND NOT WORTH ONE PENNY

I HAVE SCREEN SHOTS THAT I CAN PROVIDE THE BBB WITH THEM ABOUT THE WARRANTY FOR ONE YEAR ON DEFECTS AND ROAD HAZARDS

I will be complaining to every agency that I know of about this very bad experience

      Business Response

      Date: 06/30/2025

To clarify, the Road Hazard Coverage included in the Total Confidence Plan applies only to replacement tires purchased through authorized Continental dealers. The tire installed on your vehicle at the time of delivery is considered Original Equipment (OE) and, unfortunately, OE tires are not eligible for Road Hazard Coverage.
That said, your tire may still be covered under our ************************ Warranty, which applies specifically to OE tires. As part of this warranty process, the original tire must be submitted to Continental for inspection. We are more than willing to review your concern and assist you accordingly. However, please note that if the damaged tire has been discarded or is no longer available, we regret that we are unable to process any credit or reimbursement.
Important: If you experience any future issues, we strongly recommend contacting our office prior to replacing the tire(s). This allows us to confirm the applicable warranty coverage and ensure the tire is preserved for inspection and potential warranty credit.

      Customer Answer

I am rejecting this response because: that is very shady business . The car is Brand new and the tire should last at least ****** miles according to continental expectations . Now with you refusing to compensate me for the tire that means you are honoring your warranty and you are NOT honoring and NOT standing behind your very low quality products . I cannot keep a tire that is defective because I need my  car to go to work and to buy groceries . I cannot just sit without a car until you decide to send someone to inspect it . The tire is at Tesla service **** on biirmingham Alabama so you can request to get the tire from them and inspect . Continental tires does NOT stand behind its tires because you are selling us very cheap quality tires for a very gouged price . You will never see me as a customer and I will make sure to post negative reviews all over about this terrible experience with continental tires  the very low quality products and defective products that you would not stand behind

I purchased a set of Continental Tires in November 2024 to take advantage of the tire company's publicly and widely advertised offer of a $110 rebate offer. I did receive a rebate card, which is now expiring and which I have never been able to use because it has always been declined. I have tried for months to bargain in good faith with Continental ************ to straighten out this matter. Continental Tire customer relations has told me there's nothing they can do, that my only recourse was to deal with a third party company by phone and email to straighten out the matter. The third party company has refused to, in both phone calls and email correspondence to help in anyway to correct this matter. I can only assume at this point that I have been a victim of a false advertising campaign conducted by Continental ************.

      Business Response

      Date: 06/19/2025

Were sorry youve had issues with the rebate card. Weve reviewed your case and wanted to follow up on a few important points.
Our staff has asked the following questions in previous emails but havent received a response:

-Have you activated the rebate card?
-When attempting to use the card, were you making a purchase below the available balance, attempting a split payment, or trying to buy something over the cards value?

Based on the cards December 2024 issue date and its 6-month expiration window, its likely the original card expired before its first use. Regardless, on June 13, we submitted an order for a replacement card as you requested.

Since then, our rebate processor has attempted to contact you multiple times, leaving a voicemail with their direct number, most recently on June 17. On the morning of June 19, we emailed you to advise that the rebate company had been trying to reach you and would attempt to contact you again on June 19 or 20. We also provided you with their contact number.

They need to confirm your mailing address, verify activation details, and review typical card usage before issuing another card. Once you connect with our rebate processor, a new card will be issued.

I filled warranty claim with Continental tires and sent back defective tires on February 18, 2025 which Continental received back by *** on that date. I called several times to get REFUND of 80% I paid for replacement tires but every time they have some excuse and I never received any refund as per their Warranty Policy. Thank you for your patience. The current inspection time for tires sent to our service center is up to 8 weeks. While the call tag request was created on 2/7/2025, we show that the tires were not received by our service center3 on 2/27 and 1 on 2/18.
Once we complete the inspection, well promptly notify the servicing dealer, who will issue a pro-rata credit to you as per the terms of the mileage warranty.
We appreciate your understanding and will keep you updated on the process.

I ordered my Continental Extreme Contact DWS+ Tires way back in November of 2024. It was offered with a $110 mail in rebate. I used my Tire Rack Continental credit card for the purchase. I submitted my rebate online via their provided link, I provided a tire installation receipt (Tire Discounters) and tire purchase receipt (Tire Rack) over a month later, I get a notice that they rejected my rebate claim due to "Missing Receipt and Installation Invoice" I thought this was unusual considering its an online form, and I in fact produced both documents. The rejection notice gave me instructions for how to manually resubmit the claim, which I did. I went ahead and filled out the form, and provided both receipts. This was months ago, and I never heard anything back. At this point I feel like this is a bait and switch scam, I have used Continental tires in the past, but this is terrible business practice. I have since canceled my Continental card, and won't be using or recommending their products going forward.

We would like to sincerely apologize for the inconvenience youve experienced. Unfortunately, there was a misunderstanding in the rebate submission process. It appears that the order confirmation was submitted instead of the final invoice, which caused an issue with processing your rebate. This is why the online retailer notes on their website that the website order placed page and order/shipment confirmation emails are not accepted for this offer.
I will reach out to the online retailer to see if they can send us a copy of the final invoice, and we will forward this to our rebate processors' escalation team to complete the processing. You should receive a call within 2-3 business days from them with an update.

---------- Forwarded message ---------From: PrydeGear HelpDesk <***********************************>Date: Mon, Feb 3, 2025 at 3:42PM Subject: tires To: ***** ********* <***********************>CC: ***** ********* <*****************************>Subject: Urgent Request for Tire Warranty Assistance 2022 *** ******* EX Dear [Continental Tire Customer **********************],I am reaching out for assistance regarding an issue with the tires on my 2022 *** ******* EX (VIN: *****************), which has approximately ************ miles on it.Recently, when temperatures dropped here in **************, I noticed that the tire pressure warning light began blinking. While the air pressure is fine in three of the tires, the rear left tire consistently loses pressure. I took my vehicle to a ********* repair shop to have this tire patched, but I was shocked when they informed me that all four tires are separating, with a tread depth of only 4/32".Considering that the furthest Ive driven this car is about two hours at a time, and it is only used a few days a week for commuting to the office, I am baffled by this level of tire wear. I have not driven off-road, abused the tires, or subjected them to any unusual conditions. Despite this, *** customer ********************** suggested that tire abuse might be the causewithout even inspecting the vehiclewhich I find both dismissive and unhelpful.I also contacted the dealership where I purchased the vehicle, but they informed me that since I did not buy an extended warranty, there was nothing they could do. However, should tires that are only two years old with less than ****** miles be deteriorating like this? According to your website, Continental tires are covered by a 72-month warranty, and their expected lifespan is between ************ miles. Clearly, something is not right here. I do not believe I should be responsible for paying over $1,000 for new tires Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter. I look forward to a prompt response. ***** *********

We have reviewed your concerns along with the attached photos. Based on our evaluation, the issues described are not visible in the provided images, and treadwear is excluded from the New Vehicle Tire Warranty.
Since your tires are currently at 4/32" of tread depth, and your vehicle dealer did not find a warrantable issue, we recommend visiting any area Discount Tire (*************) to have the tires inspected for warranty consideration. Please note, if a warrantable issue is found, any adjustment would be pro-rata based on the percentage of usable tread remaining.
Should you or the dealer have questions, or you need help finding a different local dealer, please contact us at **************, MondayFriday, 8:30 AM 5:30 PM ET, in reference to complaint #**********.
