    Purchase a ac motor about a year ago ($600 or so) can’t find paper work for warranty and owner Ronald is ignoring phone calls. The owner was suppose to “get back” with me, it’s been over a week. Now the company is ignoring my calls. The motor doesn’t work and the owner knows it’s not new and a bad motor this is why he is ignoring my calls. Called from a different number they answered and said “Ron” will call back, he never did. I have an elderly mother here and Ron knows this, but it didn’t keep him from being dishonest.

    I installed this motor for this customer back in November. The motor failed and the homeowner tried to work on unit himself. I refused to work on unit after this because he's not licensed and I don't know what type of damage he could have done. So after I refused I told him he could call anther company but I wouldn't touch it based on him working on unit. The motor has a warranty thru factory and not thru my company. So I'm obligated to work on or replace it. Once a unit has been worked on by unlicensed individuals it could also void warranty of motor.  In short after he decided to work on unit I decided to not work on it and I have that right. And this is why there sending a complaint to BBB. But truth is he tried to work on unit and I'm not going to touch after that and I have that right. And lastly he didn't pay 600 for the motor that's not true.

    I am rejecting this response because: Ronald Cain is being completely untruthful. Ronald was to return from out of town on the 8th of April 2023 and work on the AC,  he never returned any calls nor provided the requested receipt for the motor.  Cain's Heat and Cooling provided receipts for all other services provided! Ronald said with yearly maintenance, the AC should be okay. Never experienced any issues until now. Once the receipt was requested, Cain's Heating and Cooling stop answering my calls. Cain's Heating and Cooling has proven to be  untrustworthy and we no longer trust this company on our property. We will use a professional company and make sure to receive a receipt.
