      I find AllSouth Federal Credit Union's account inactivity fee policy to be excessive and unsubstantiated. The $10.00 fee for inactivity on a savings account is counter intuitive. The Credit Union "takes" $10.00 ,per month, of your hard earned money, following a period of 12 months of nonactivity on the account. This does not make me feel like an "Appreciated Member". The purpose of a savings account is to "save"!! To have your financial institution "rob" you of your savings is ludicrous. My initial question is "What do they do with the money they are taking from my savings". Why would they penalize a member for idle money? I now have to be vigilant about unscrupulous acts by hackers outside and within the institution.

      Sharlene, We apologize for your recent experience. We have standard practices in place regarding dormant accounts, including charging a dormant account fee. We encourage saving and regular deposits to accounts, and provide multiple notices to account holders before an account becomes dormant with actions that can be taken to keep the account active.       They told me there closed after I waited in line! It's tax free weekend?!!!! Now I have to go to the shady check cashing place to add money to my card, like I don't have a bank account. Thanks again for the inconveniences! Hope I don't get scammed trying to get school clothes for my child.

      We apologize for your recent experience. It is not our typical practice to close while someone is still in line. If you ever run into a situation where you need to deposit a check when we are closed, we have services such as Mobile Deposit via Mobile Banking and night deposit at some of our locations.       Horrible took my money they were suppose to be paying my bills with and we're not paying my bills. Put me in a huge hole. Went to the branch the manager told me she would give me $20 back to settle but they took over $1,500 from me. Got an investigator involved she noticed the wrong doing they refunded me my money. A week later they started doing the exact same thing again. I'm definitely trying to get them in court this has to stop and they need to be held accountable

      Anthony W**** joined AllSouth Federal Credit Union October 21, 2011. On October 21, 2011, Mr. W**** signed documentation indicating he wanted overdraft protection services and protection in the form of transfers from his savings account in the event any overdrafts would occur. Both types of overdraft protection services requested have associated fees. As a result, Mr. W**** accumulated $1,200.00 in overdraft fees over an extended period of time. Additionally, funds were transferred from Mr. W****'s savings account to his checking account to cover transactions when there were no available funds in his checking account. AllSouth paid all transactions as requested by Mr. W****, and as a courtesy, AllSouth refunded Mr. W**** all fees.

      On November 16, 2021, Anthony W**** updated and signed a new Account Card. Mr. W**** indicated he did not want to participate in AllSouth's Overdraft Privilege Program or Overdraft Protection and requested that these services be removed from his checking account(s) noted. Mr. W**** has overdrawn his account three times since 11/16/2021, resulting in a $30.00 Non-Sufficient Funds Fee each time. Mr. W**** was provided with a Membership Disclosure which specifically outlines the Overdraft Privilege Program and fully explains the terms of this program and fully explains that if not in this program, items taking his accounts negative will be returned, and accounts will be assessed a Non-Sufficient Funds Fee of $30.00 for each transaction. Mr. W**** was also provided with a detailed letter of AllSouth's decision.

      Mr. W**** has also filed a complaint with the National Credit Union Association (NCUA). The complaint was resolved on January 13, 2022. If Mr. W**** wishes to close out his accounts with AllSouth Federal Credit Union, we will be glad to assist him. Mr. W**** is subject to the Terms and Conditions for Membership with AllSouth. Failure to maintain appropriate balance to cover charges to his account will result in Non-Sufficient Funds Fees.

      A determination letter was received from the National Credit Union Association on January 31, 2022. The letter to Mr. W**** states "Based on the information provided and discussed above, we conclude that the credit union's actions in this matter were consistent with The Truth in Savings Act. Therefore, we have closed our file for this case."

      Please... If you care about your money, put it somewhere other than AllSouth. Your mattress has a higher APY and is more helpful in filing a dispute than their customer service. I can't change my bank fast enough
