      Hi, I visited Miller's All Day today and I am concerned about the credit card surcharge pass through of 3%. To me it seems like this is part of your organization's doing business and I would think if it was an expense you have to occur like paying utilities, etc., this would be factored into your prices? This seems like potentially a double charge and truthfully a slap in the face to your customers that are out there struggling as well. I do not look at it as I have an option if I pay cash to avoid the charge. I choose to use my credit card and if you provide that service of using credit cards (which I guess most of your clients use), once again it should be a fee you absorb or you work out with the credit card holders.
      The first response is to withhold this extra charge from the tip as it is the only way a consumer has to fight back on this, but then it is not fair to your wait staff as this is not their issue, it is yours. Please figure out a way to remove this additional charge or I can see future business moving away. I think you are a great establishment, and this is very sad practice that is sweeping around putting your cost of doing business direct on the consumer.
