    I got a referral to have my eyes checked at this practice. I needed to have laser done, and they asked me if I could go ahead with the laser that day. I told them no I could not afford it at the time. The physicians assistant assured me it would be covered by my insurance. However the next time I came to the practice I had a bill for over 1000 dollars. I was very upset told them so and they handled it very unprofessionally saying the physicians assistant had no idea what she was talking about etc. I was upset to have to pay the bill but still tried calling multiple times to set up a payment plan. Every time I am told the office manager is being left a note and will call me back. She never does. The last time I told the person who answered the phone what was going on and he said I personally assure you I will get her to call you back within the hour. It has been weeks since that call. Over a month since I’ve tried to pay this bill. The business is ran terribly. Parking is limited and you often have to park far away and walk. It takes a very long time to check in let alone be seen even with an appointment. They over book. I can’t say enough bad things about this practice and how unprofessional they are. Also, they will not get back to me to pay the bill, so I assume it will go to collections.

    Mrs. K****** had a medically necessary procedure done in November.  She was told the procedure would be covered by her insurance and consented to the procedure.  She understood this as she would not have any financial responsibility for the procedure.  Her health plan covered the procedure as we had indicated but due to her deductible, it left her with a balance.  Unfortunately, our office did not provide good communication to the patient and we take full responsibility for this.  I have trained clinical teams on wording to use to discuss patient responsibility.  I have also counseled our manager who failed to return Ms. K******'s multiple calls.  I have spoken to Ms. K****** and apologized for our part in this and have also decided not to bill her for the treatment as we did not properly communicate.  I believe she is satisfied with this outcome and agreed to remove her complaint with the BBB.
