We hired Mako Movers LLC to move our household goods out of a local storage facility into our house on 25 July 2023. During the move my standup ********* Limited Addition tool chest was not secured in the back of the moving truck. Therefore, during transit it fell over and caused sever damage to several different places on the drawers and lid of the chest. The movers that were doing the work informed me of this as soon as they arrived at our house to unload the trucks. After everything was unloaded, I took pictures of the tool chest and sent them to the owner of the business, Josh Oleen. Initially, he responded positively and was very apologetic about the damage and agreed to repair or replace the chest. After doing extensive research on the internet to try and find replacement parts, I found out that there are no replacement parts available so the chest cannot be repaired. After I informed Mr. Oleen fo this he agreed to pay for a replacement tool chest. I bought an equivalent tool chest from Lowes and sent pictures of the new chest and the associated receipt to Mr. Oleen. It was at this point that he gradually became less and less responsive to my phone calls and text messages until he eventually stopped responding at all. I eventually started looking for some other way to contact the company and it was during this investigation that I determined that the address that's listed on the company web site, registered with the South Carolina Regulatory office, and listed on the BBB web site is not valid. In fact, as far as I can tell the company has not physical address other than a P.O. box. I just want to be reimbursed for the replacement tool chest that I have already purchased.
