      EXTREMELY UNETHICAL COMPANY**DO NOT SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM*** Received an offer in the mail in Nov. 2022 for $125 off my first delivery if I signed a 1 year contract for auto deliveries. I asked at least **5 TIMES** if the rates would be comparable to what I was now paying with my local company. I was repeatedly assured that their rates were comparable! They would also cap my price at the going rate which was ****. Price would go down if rates dropped but would never go higher. Like I said, assured repeatedly that they were priced the same. I just had a delivery last week and was charged the cap price of $****, checked with my local company and the price that day was $3.38!! When I phoned to inquire why the rate was so high, she stated that they will ALWAYS be $1 - $1.50 more per gallon!! That is in complete contradiction to what I was told when they were convincing me to sign the contract! It has cost me well over $600 so far to save that $125. No idea how this company is continuing to get away with basically stealing from people. Also going to try filing a complaint with the BBB. This company needs to be stopped. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews, I am not the only one. Shame on them to lie to people like this at time when most are struggling.

      I lost me heat and hot water on Sunday November 20, 2022 call Petro Monday at 7:30 am was told a tech would be out today, they called and cancelled said no tech available and someone would be there Tuesday to fix it. Tuesday the called and cancelled again, no available tech he went home sick. Was told they would be out Wednesday morning between 7 and 9, no show or phone call. I am going on my 3rd day with now heat or hot water and I have pneumonia which I told them and they don't care. Horrible service would not recommend this company to anyone.

      We were longtime, loyal customers for Petro Home Services and ******************. We paid on a budget plan for years, including the payoff of an (approximately) $6,000 new oil tank. Last year, they did not set us up for the budget plan as they were supposed to and proceeded to call us relentlessly even though we were paying the same budget on time monthly as we always had. They would not correct the issue when we had a balance, so we paid the balance down and then requested to be put back on the budget plan. For a second year in a row, they did not put us on the budget plan as they said they would. They proceeded to hound us with multiple phone calls for full payment even though we continued to pay on time monthly with budget payments. When I called again to correct the issue, I was told that the budget plan is a courtesy and they don't have to provide one. They said they could take it away at any time. We were clearly lied to multiple times and hounded relentlessly. We canceled our account verbally on the phone and in writing via email. We also requested a letter in writing stating that our account was closed. They still have not provided a letter in writing stating our account is closed and they continue to hound us with calls from their loyalty department. They sent us a letter, but it only said we should call them regarding our account. We are done and fed up. Now we can't event get them to close our account properly. They are con artists and horrible businesses. Stay away.

      Have service contract with Petro for both Home Services and Oil delivery. The automatic Petro Oil delivery service allowed my 2 oil tanks to hit empty before re-filling...as a result air got into our pipes and caused our furnace to not function. The temperature in our home dropped to 30 degrees and we risked having our pipes freeze in addition to not being able to sleep in our home. We thought it was our furnace that was broken so we called our furnace installer and they responded and fixed the problem in 30 minutes (thank goodness). The charge was $225 for the repair. When I reached out to Petro who we have used and been a client for 20 years they told us they would not help or share in the $225 year repair charge. They said they had no legal responsibility to ensure our oil tanks were not empty and that the $700 a year Service contract is a separate service policy and that if we had called that Petro Service number they would have dispensed a technician within 24 hours to fix the problem under the terms of our service agreement with Petro Home Services. We asked the Petro Service manager to share in the repair cost given we pay Petro Oil each year and we rely on them to help us avoid our oil tanks being empty.Just wanted to alert you that Petro doesn't really care about their clients --or at least not in our situation.

      I have had multiple issues with this company in **! They have an excuse for everything, even when you have called multiple times to discuss fill-*** that you have not been authorized, including a full tank in MAY 2021 when we are no longer heating the home, at way above average prices. I have explained that we can't afford unscheduled fill-***, they claim last year, our landlord has a service contract with them which includes monthly fill-***... Yet after our landlord cancelled the service, they still came and filled our tank. Unethical and Unreasonable, Lip service when speaking to customer **********************, this ********************** is hurting people who are on a tight budget and trying to make sure that they can pay the bills, including heating oil.
