    Smart Green Solar Panel Installation was completed and activated in August 2023. 1 year later August 2024 Is when the leaky roof under the panels was noticeable requiring buckets on the kitchen floor. The roof was inspected prior to installation. I have attempted to contact Smart Green Solar more than 6 times, however I did not start saving the correspondence until May 2025. I have included pictures. I wrote a negative review and will continue to write negative customer service ****************************** customer service requires email contact only. There is no other way to connect. I attempted twice calling the installation department, however, I was transferred to a voicemail that had no ability to leave a message and directions to email the team. I have received no response from any email. There is a warrantee for 5 years "(ii) Installer warrants to Homeowner that any roof penetrations made for the System shall be completely weather-tight for a period of five (5) years from the date of commencement of the Installation (the Roof Warranty Period)." It took approximately 8 months for installation so i am not clear on what they choose to be "commencement of installation". My biggest concern is permanent water damage. I am approaching 1 year from the point of visible damage. I have received quotes from roofers for roof replacement. Removal and re-installation is required by the installing company. I have zero confidence that Smart Green Solar will return to re-install if I choose to replace my roof. These panels cost over $85,000. I did not do this on the cheap. I am incredibly disappointed, frustrated and unclear of what steps to take next. If they cannot or will not properly repair sites of leakage for no cost, I have the expectation that they cover the cost to remove and re-install the panels so I may have the roof re-shingled with proper leak-free installment.

    Smart Green installed 18 solar panels which they promised in writing would meet %100 of our electric needs. Currently, only 60% of our electric needs are being me, and they have promised in writing to install another 12 solar panels at their cost. Now they are not returning my phone calls or my emails, and seem to have no intention of honoring their promise.

    The system I was sold by Smart Green is not meeting the minimum power production outlined in my contract. The CEO *** ***** said after 12 months a power analysis would be preformed and additional panels would be installed free of charge to meet the guarantee. There is no way to call them - they do not accept inbound calls and Jay's number has been disconnected and my emails remain unanswered. All I want is what I paid for and to never have to speak with this company again,

    This complaint is related to the lack of customer service representation at **********************. We went under contract with this company in June of 2023. Our first issue occurred in July of 2024 when our solar gateway stopped working and the manufacturer told me I needed to contact the installer. There was no power going to the panel where the gateway was installed. My first attempt at contact with Smart Green Solar was on 7/28/24. After repeated phone calls and text messages following up with Smart Green Solar, it took them 6 weeks to get a technician to our home to resolve the issue finally on 9/13/24. During this downtime we lost all of our energy production credits that we had stored with the utility company because none of our new production from 7/17/24-9/13/24 was communicated through the system. This resulted in $336 of unwarranted payments due to my electrical provider *************. I reached out to Smart Green Solar four more times since this date to attempt to resolve this with them directly but they never returned any calls or emails to date. I have record of every contact I made with them and can provide all details as needed.On 3/26/25 I again needed to reach out to them for a separate issue to request they send a technician to unlock our electrical meter so that we could have electrical work performed by an electrician due to water intrusion issues at the electrical meter. Smart Green Solar now has an automated phone answering service saying they no longer can take any phone calls and they only accept emails. So I emailed them that day on 3/26/25 and they have never responded. I do not know if this company is still in business due to the non responsiveness and lack of personnel. I am Now forced to look into options to transfer my solar contract to a new company and may need to involve a lawyer. If a lawyer is required I will then seek reimbursement from Smart Green Solar for this as well. This business needs to be held accountable.

    I have been sold solar panels. They were quickly installed. I am paying for them. But they have not been "hooked up" with the city. So I am not actually getting any use for them. When I contact the salesperson I get a lot of run around and then no response. I would like them hooked up. Money is paid to GoodLeap but hooking up the electricity should be through Smart Green.

    My father, **** *****, purchased a residential solar system from Smart Green Solar in ***********, ** in April, 2024, from "***," a door-to-door salesperson who left a business card and has stopped responding to calls. **** paid $21,706 38 to Smart Green Solar by check. He has still not received the solar panels and only has wiring and a frame built. Smart Green Solar is not responding to e-mails. lf you call them, they have an auto-response stating they are no longer answering their phone and you must reach out via e-mail ([email protected]) which they also do not respond *********** General *******, in ************, has filed a lawsuit against Smart Green Solar for "unfair and deceptive trade practices." Earl's experience was the same as those in the lawsuit where they wouldn't provide a paper contract or itemized receipt. The only documentation provided is the engineer consultant's confirmation that the structure can support the panels. Resolution would include returning the full amount of money or completing the project agreed upon by May 15, 2025.

    The business did not respond to my BBB complaint, but the CEO responded to one of my many e-mails with a phone call. He did not resolve my complaint, although he did explain the company is broke and no longer functioning. He would not respond via email or put anything in writing. I am still seeking a resolution.

    I purchased two solar panel packages for two homes: my residence and my office. I was sold a bill of goods that simply is not true:- I was told I'd have virtually zero electric bills after the installation (they have barely changed).- I was told I would be making up to $2000/month by selling additional electricity generated back to the grid (I made roughly $800 for both homes in more than one year).- I was told that if the panels did not perform as well as I was told, they would provide additional panels at no cost after one year. They never did this and are now out of business.- The salesman (*****) initially reassured me saying that he would look into this and get back to me, etc. He has since stopped returning my calls and text messages.I now own two very expensive solar panel systems (nearly $150,000 for both!) that I need to pay for on top of paying my already high electricity bills. I feel duped. I feel like a fool. This company really scammed me. I hope and pray that someone can help me. Thank you.

    In May I signed up with this company they told me 6 weeks to get solar installed and turned on. I was told I would be sent a check from smart green to cover costs until the project was completed and turned on It has been 8+ months and I have the solar panels installed but they haven't been turned on. I now have a. $300 bill every month and it's not replacing my electric bill

    *** called me and said what I was told by his sales *** won't happen he will not be refunding me the money owed - he hopes in "good faith" he can make it right in the future but as of right now there is nothing he can do. This is unfortunate as I was hoping to resolve my issues with them but I may need to seek other response to get my money back.

    We've had solar for 3 years, never received a bill recently. We got a $10000 bill national grid came and took their meter. I thought you needed a meter to generate a bill. I do not have a national grid meter but I'm still getting charged, I am paying the solar. Equipment on time never missed a payment. I spoke to the solar company. They said it was not properly installed. There's a meter that was not installed, which meant might. Electricity that I occurred not getting credit. They are threatening to come cut off. Electristy, I've been trying to call smart green Solar, but no reply. This is really stressful. Did everything that we had to do , but we're still getting ....., not sure what else I need to do , national grid messed up a lot. I believe they got addresses mixed up. I hope you guys can truly investigate both parties. I have correspondents stated that they did not complete the job.They are not living up to the end of the bargain.I'm getting a charge for no reason.We'll actually double charge.That is a reason I don't know where the money is going.

    We have not been able to read half of system. The installers knew that was a problem prior to them finishing job. We have contacted them numerous times and someone was going to contact us. Currently when we tried number for company or system engineer numbers are not working. They were supposed to to trim a tree hasnt happened
