The company renewed our annual contract without proper notice. We didnt get any paper copy of this and any emails they sent went to my spam folder. On Feb 12 we contacted them to cancel our service. They said they couldnt as it was already renewed for the year.but it says the old account is good through March 9 2023 and when we called, they already renewed it for the year. I tried to resolve this issues stating that we didnt get proper notice, they basically said we are stuck with it. We are older and disabled and on a fixed income. The representative that called the second time was argumentative and just closed my case and sent an email that we can not cancel the service.Initial Complaint

I notified then by mail of a cancellation/disconnection for services no longer needed in March of 2021 due to a new service provider offering ****************. I am continuing to be charged $53.99 per month. I have contacted them multiple times to stop the payments. I have payed a total of $1403.74 since having my new service with Vivint.Business response

Hello, My company Advanced Protection operates as a security brokerage. The Gunters' account was set up with Alliance Security with their monitoring being handled by their monitoring service provider. The ******** are aware of this as that is the company that is billing them monthly, not Advanced Protection. I have provided them with their customer service number in order to cancel their monitoring. My company Advanced Protection does not maintain, monitor, or bill their account. I understand their frustration, however they should have verified their cancellation request with their security provider. Their complaint should be redirected. I have attached the installation certificate from 2/14/2020.

I am rejecting this response because: in his email he asked me if I would like him to call and cancel services. I responded numerous times that said "yes" to services needing to be canceled immediately. He did not make it aware to me in the beginning or anytime prior he was just a "broker" but that he handled the services we were offered. I do not understand why he said he would cancel services and now is in no way shape or form trying to be of assistance.

*****************, I have attached the introduction email from 1/17/20 informing you that we are a security broker. Your husband signed a contract with an alarm provider, Alliance Security **** You need to reach out to the monitoring company and ask them to cancel your account. Advanced Protection is unable to cancel your account as we are not your account holder. I provided you with the customer service number to reach out to them with your complaint. Again, I cannot cancel your account for you. Advanced Protection has never billed you for any monitoring services. My initial service was to shop security rates for you with the coverage you wanted to find you the best rate. It is the ******** responsibility to review their monitoring contract for the terms of their agreement and/or their financial statements to verify what company is billing them and reach out to the appropriate company for any issues.

This company has been charging our bank account and has access to our credit lineand report , using this a leverage to scam our account. several attempts to cancel the account have been made via email on 3/30/2020.,7/21/2021, and 12/8/2022. This company has not provided service to our home since 2019. Our home is located in ************* , BUT this is my vacation home, not our primary home. We have requested cancelation via every line possible. emails have been sent, fax, and correspondence have all been ignored by all personnel. numerous hours on the phone have been spent trying to resolve this issue to no avail. *************************** ************
