--Home Addition and Remodel Construction Contract-- Contract signed November 13, 2022 - In writing notice from *** ***** (CEO - Yorklyn Construction and main contractor) that this was signed for the bank to lock in an interest rate for the construction project. Cost for the project is approx $350,000 After contract was signed, I gave a $50,000 down payment for supplies (paid by check) December/January 2022 I made my product selections from the vendors provided by my contractor. In a text message from January 2023, *** states we need to get together to go over my selections, final scope of work, and final pricing. This never occurred. I reached out to him via email and text 5 times over the months of January, February, March, and April to discuss my selections, final scope of work, and final firm pricing. Every time there was an excuse made. The project began the end of April 2023. I again demanded that I have the items previously mentioned because the project was beginning without proper documents. On May 16, *** and I sat down for a meeting where I was given a final scope of work which detailed MANY new items that were not on the original contract as well as an "extra" cost sheet that contained $38,000 of added items that were above and beyond the contract. Many of the expenses listed included work that was done without my knowledge or permission. I have asked *** again to sit down for an in person meeting to discuss all of the many issues occurring with the project. I have still to discuss any of my purchased selections. He stated that he was pulling off the project and would not be available in person due to a week long family vacation out of state. I am left with an unfinished project in the beginning stages and mistakes that were done along the way. I am very disappointed with *** *****'s professionalism as a CEO and main contractor on this project. My property is left a mess with material and debris laying all over the place.
