I got my car towed to D&K auto on 3/5/24. The parts & labor was started on 3/6/24 in which I paid for the first problem in the amount of $487.19. On 3/7/24 **** called back saying that the water pump was done but they had discovered another is*** which happened to be the coolant reservoir, that would be $70 . I called them to check a few hours later and he said they were finishing up and to call back in 45mins . I did that. When I called back he said the fans are not working and its still overheating. Ive never had that is*** prior to them touching my vehicle, I was very confused . On 3/8/24 I brought another mechanic with me to over look the car and he found ,right away that a hose was dry rotted. **** never mentioned anything about that hose and it was very visible to see. He was very non chalant and didnt show signs of wanting to fix the problem he said he wouldnt have anyone to be able to look at the car until monday, I couldnt afford that much more time having the car sit at his lot. So I took it from the lot , having the mechanic replacing the hose and Im still unable to drive my vehicle , it overheats in 10secs after paying almost $600. I am *** for negligence and will be getting a statement from the mechanic.

The vehicle was towed into the shop because of a suspected hose being broken. I **** let the customer know that if the hose broke there was a possibility it overheated. A coolant pressure test was needed. I let the customer know they decided to get the diagnostic. The water pump assembly was cracked/broken. I let the customer know it would need changed. The water pump was replaced. Another coolant pressure test was done. That's when we noticed the coolant reservoir was also leaking. Customer decided to get it replaced. A coolant pressure test was done again and it held pressure. The vehicle was left to idle to warm up so that we could put more coolant in after thermostat opened. Vehicle started to overheat we noticed the fans were not coming on. I let the customer know about the fan assembly. Told her further diagnostics would be needed. She said there was never a problem with the fans. We are not sure if there was or was not a problem because it was towed in for overheating. The work that we did did not have anything to do with the fans. We would not be able to get the vehicle looked at until Monday. She opted to pick up the vehicle because there was no issue with the fans, and she could not wait any longer. She came in with a friend to take it else where. I let her know I did not recommend that because it could over heat and cause more issues. She also would have to sign an invoice saying she understood.
