On September 17, I contacted We Energies to have trees near my power lines cut. They advised that they would work with Asplundh Region 62 to cut the trees, mulch, and take away the wood. On September 26, two representatives from Asplundh came to our house and advised they could not complete the job in the two hours that remained in their shift and that they would need to return on September 30 (today) to complete the work as they will need a full day. They did not return. I called the office mid-day and sent an email with no reply. We are expecting their return and completion of the work urgently as the city has mandated this work and has threatened fines to us as homeowners unless this is completed by the end of the month (today).Business Response

Asplundh tree expert llc, were sub contracted by my utility provider **** to trim a broken tree branch behind my property on June 9th 2025. Without permission they entered my property, dropped the branch onto my property causing extensive property damage. When contacted they admit coming to my property that day working on my property however refuse to take responsibility or provide an explanation.Initial Complaint

08/19 0400 power line came down hor fire **** had to respond. Electric co came and put up new line and sent asplunda to trim trees by wire. I *** not even have a tree in my yard my neighbors yard had the trees . Asplunda trimmed the trees and threw in my yard and told my wife its not their respinsibility to clean up. Asplunda damged my garden fence and back privacy fence. called corprate sent for a claim and got voice mail , callled massolin office they had to find out who was up north to no call backs from company . Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC (Asplundh) was contracted by the utility company to conduct storm work. The contract between Asplundh and the utility does not include clean up. Asplundh was contracted to remove limbs from downed lines to allow the utility to restore power to customers. ********************** was not contracted by the complainant.

This response is a joke he really didnt look into the situation or their company . There was no storm just a power line . As a contractor you are responsible for your crews actions . Throwing your cut limbs onto a property that jad no trees and damaging my fences . They knocked boards off my privacy fence and crushed my flower bed fence around the shed !

Asplundh cut down a bunch of tree limbs from around my neighbors properties and the limbs/branches all fell in my yard and they told me it wasnt their problem to pick up and left.Business Response

For the past two weeks, this company has been in our community cutting trees. Last week they cut our internet line and didnt say anything. This week they cut our ***** line and tried to cover it up. We have been getting extra bills due to their damageBusiness Response

In January 2023 as ************ came to trim branches interfering with the electric line. I suggested they come from in the filed to reach the power lines only to be told they would climb the trees. In doing so they damaged my fence. I am still waiting for them to replace a fence post top that they damaged. I feel 2 1/2 years is ample time for this issue to be fixed and resolved. I have called above and beyond to make sure I would be home for them to replace the damage fence post top only to be told they would do it when they were in the area!!Business Response

To Whom It May Concern,I am writing to file a formal complaint against Asplundh .After repeatedly contacting DTE regarding a tree in my backyard that needed trimming due to power line interference, they finally responded by sending out a crew from Asplundh. However, the experience was completely unprofessional and unacceptable.Three workers arrived to trim the tree, but instead of properly removing the debris, they left large piles of tree trimmings in my backyard and on my neighbors front lawn. I personally spoke to one of the workers when I saw them dragging the trimmings onto my neighbors property and suggested they move them across the street. The worker assured me that the debris would be shredded. That never happened.Another worker said they would be cutting the trimmings into logs. That also never happened. A third individual told me they had been called to another job site and would return later that day to clean up the mess. Unsurprisingly, no one ever came back to finish the job.This level of disregard is not only disrespectful to me and my neighbors but shows a lack of accountability on Asplundhs part. I should not have to continually file complaints in order for basic responsibilities to be met. Leaving such a mess behind is unacceptable and a nuisance to both myself and those living nearby.I am requesting that the Asplundh team sent through ***********Return immediately to clean up the remaining tree trimmings and properly dispose of the debris as they initially promised. Hello My name is ****** ***** and I live in ************** where on Thursday June 21st a bad storm came through resulting in 2 trees which are not located on our property fell on the power lines located in our backyard. The trees are in ***** behind our house. I reported to PECO right away. Sunday Asplundh came out and said whoa this is a big job we will see what we can do. He asked to ****** my husband ladder. Now its a pretty well known tree company they don't have ladders?. Felt it extremely odd and unprofessional. They cut down big branches that were on the power lines and said ok the lines are clear. They left the two trees still hanging on by a thread and leaning on the fence and over hanging into our yard which will fall next storm and all the big branches they cut laying on our lawn. I have 2 dogs and 2 children. We are unable to use our backyard. I've called numerous times demanded them to come back and finish removing the trees and clear the yard. I have yet to hear back from management. This is going on for too long. I've emailed called with no response. They need to come remove the remaining trees and debris from my yard. We recently had our trees trimmed beautifully by a professional company so we have pictures proving the damage Asplundh caused to our tree. They butchered it, cutting live limbs at a time of year they should not have been. They cut horribly and, after entering our yard without permission to "clean the limbs up" they didn't even pick it all up. They damaged our fence and gate to the point it is falling apart and we can't even open it. We aren't sure exactly how they could have caused this much damage, unless they hit our fence and ripped it apart, or were trying to force the lock open to get in.Business Response

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC (Asplundh) was contracted to conduct vegetation line clearance by the utility within an easement. Asplundh was not contracted by the complainant. The tree trimming work was conducted in accordance with contractual specifications and proper cuts were made without damaging the tree.
Asplundh contends that the damage to the gate pre-existed the vegetation work given the visible rot and extra screws utilized to hold it in place. However, the Asplundh supervisor is working with the complainant to repair the gate.

I am rejecting this response because:The gate and fence were whole and functional before this damage was done. We discovered this damage because the company came to us admitting they caused damage. They admitted to booming workers into our yard (trespassing as the functional gate was locked and noone was home) and tire marks were observed less than a foot away from the damaged gate and fence. Had the gate been rotten and falling apart, the Asplundh workers would have been able to just open it to enter our yard rather than having had to boom into it. We have sent multiple estimates to Asplundh listing costs for repairs and they have offered $500. This is not acceptable. Beyond that, the **** representative (XCEL hired Asplundh) admitted that a couple of their cuts on our old tree were incorrect. The Asplundh representative insisted they were all correct. Due to this conflicting information and insufficient offer, I do not trust that Asplundh is taking responsibility for their actions or that they are providing a sufficient response.

I have power lines that run parallel to my property. I recently purchased the property. Asplundh came twice to cut around power lines. They parked on my property. They left all the clippings in my yard and did not clean them up. They came back a third time and after complaining to them, i was told by a supervisor they were not allowed on my private property as there was an easement they are supposed to use. They have since drove down my private driveway "to check powerlines". I am trying to contact them about this issue however they don't answer the phone
