In August I researched several contractors to trim the tree branch. Because I am a United States War Veteran, I sought out businesses that offer military discounts, whose online presence appeared outstanding! August 2, 2023, I accepted a quote from *** **** ******, Owner of Adam’s Tree Service Removal & Trimming, LLC, PA. We agreed that **** would arrive to start and complete the job on August 30, 2023 either at 0830 or 12 noon. **** was a no call no show for the 30th and 31. On September 1, 2023, *** ****** arrived to my home at approximately 1045 am, and departed at approximately 1045 pm.This is what I received from *** **** ****** of Adam's Tree Service Removal & Trimming, LLC, PA. on September 1, 2023: No call no show x2, Late arrival/ departure, Incomplete service, Extensive property damage, Aggressive behavior (Adam raged at me in front of my home 930pm), Debris and food left on my/ neighbors property, Unsolicited sexual advances, ****'s dog left on my porch in the hot sun, 11 hours without food/water (only provided by me/ only walked by me).I know my deeds for the dog ("girl") was not asked of me but how could I not?? Eleven hours that dog laid outside covered in sawdust, surrounded by noise. I have animals so I couldn't bring her inside or I would have. A loving animal. Police reported **** would contact me labor day week but I never heard from Adam. His phone was off when I called/he disregarded my text. **** left me with all of the responsibilities for the damages he caused. As a consumer I felt confident /safe hiring Adam as a professional for the job because his online presence exclaims that he is a “Fully Insured ISSA Certified Arborist.” That was not the case as I have not heard from or seen **** since September 1, 2023. **** claims he's "Fully Insured" so why not repair the damages he caused and let's move forward to finalize the agreement. Neither **** or his company could be located as certified with the ************* ******* ** ************* (***).

    Business Response

    Date: 11/29/2023

    Dear Sir/Madam,
This letter is in response to the consumer complaint filed to the bureau by **** ******* ********. Adam's Tree Service is a small business operation that believes in giving back to the community by offering discounts and charitable work for the elderly, single parents, people with economic struggles and for those who have served our country. As a military veteran who proudly served in the branch of the ********, **** ******** was given a quote for services with a discount. When **** ******** shared, she relied on social security disability benefits as a source of income, the quoted services were rendered pro bono without a contract, no terms of payment, and no money ever exchanged. **** ********'s only obligation was to obtain the proper permits for the removal of the tree. During the course of verbally agreed upon work, **** ******** pressed Adam's Tree Service for additional free services. The company worked diligently and stayed after 5 pm on a Friday to meet the demands of **** ********. During this time, an essential large piece of equipment used for the work broke down. With work being extended and equipment failure, **** ******** was asked to produce the physical permit document, but no document was produced. Miss Abigail's became irritated and irrational, threatening the employees and owner of the company if the additional work wasn't completed and all equipment was not removed from her property. In an attempt to deescalate the situation, additional equipment was brought to the job site and work was completed including cleanup of debris and branches. At approximately 9:00 pm, all equipment was removed from the premises.
The following morning, **** ******** called the owner of Adam's Tree Service claiming damage was done to her yard, a branch on a tree, and sidewalk (gutter, parts of roof, garden beds, and areas not mentioned until receiving this complaint letter). She also claimed and work was still left undone. The owner spoke to **** ********. The sidewalk was damaged prior to any services rendered and no other acts of gross negligence were identified by either company owner or homeowner day prior. Unsatisfied with response, **** ******** then called the police to her property. The owner spoke to the police via phone. No misconduct or ill doing was communicated by police to Adam's Tree Service. Officer did state "you have a real ***** on your hands" to owner. Unsatisfied with the police's response, **** ******* started to harass the owner of Adam's Tree Service by repeating the calling the owner. When consideration was asked for a family event, **** ******** proceeded to continue to harass the owner until late Saturday evening. Given the mental state and irrational behavior, **** ******** was blocked from calling and unrecognized phone numbers were not answered.
Despite the negative outcome of this situation, Adam's Tree Service is still committed to helping and giving back to the
    community.
    Sincerely,
    , owner Adam's Tree Service
