Dear BBB Help Desk,I'd like to file a complaint against QUADRATEC company ***********************I placed a web order (order number: ********* (Z7280523) on April 14th 2025.Started receiving the larger parts. The smaller parts were shipped in a box but the 2 tail lights were not in the box.I sent an email letting them know of the missing parts.******** replied that it was shipped and received as per tracking.I replied that I received the package I opened it and there was not even room for the tail lights in the box. On August 27, 2024 I ordered Daystar KJ09144BK Tailgate Bump Stops for my Jeep Wrangler JK for $33.53 - Order Number: ********* (Z3226505). I never received my order. I called Quadratec customer service on Oct 9 and the ***resentative stated that the bump stops were no longer available and that Quadratec would cancel my order (with the 3rd party vendor) and refund my money. Once again, on Nov 8 I called customer service and was told that my refund was not completed by the previous *** and that he would take care of it. Two weeks ago, I emailed Quadratec about the aforementioned issue. I have not been provided with a response nor refund. Note: Quadratec has always provided me with wonderful customer service until my recent 2 orders. My order - before the bump stops - was a front bumper. They sent me 3 and only charged me for 1! Being a good citizen, I returned the other 2 bumpers. I had to ***air the damaged boxes with my own supplies, load them onto a trailer, and take them to the nearest shipping facility (25 miles away).Business Response

I have ordered a number of items from Quadratec for a 2005 Jeep Wrangler. What is in dispute are payments for a Rancho Sport Lift System that I ordered on 9/02/21. The price was I believe $775.99 plus tax. I was told at the time of the order that the materials would ship in 2 days. On 9/22/21 a payment was deducted from my credit card to cover the cost of the ***********. At some time in the fall I was sent the 4 shock absorbers which were part of the Rancho system (to ********). The Rancho Lift system (including 4 additional shocks) was shipped to me in ******* on 5/08/22. Payments of $329.00 and $510.63 were taken from my credit card on 3/25/22 and 5/11/22 respectively. To clarify: I received one Ranch Lift system and four additional shock absorbers. I did not order two ************ and I did not order extra shock absorbers. The only notice I received of the 2022 additional payments was when they showed up on my credit card statement. Their system also does not provide any on-line information describing the details of the items paid. Starting in the fall of 2022 I have discussed this at length with accounts specialists ********* ******, **** ******, and most recently ******* ****. I have asked to be refunded the $839.63 erroneously paid in March/May 2022 and authorized to have the extra shocks shipped back. I was encouraged initially that the people I reached were trying to sort out the problem. I believe that they changed accounting systems at the end of 2021, which has added to confusion. I have made numerous phone calls and sent more than 20 emails. As recently as 8/14/2024 ******* **** said he would get to the bottom of it. But since then it has been "passed to management" with whom I'm unable to communicate, and it is going nowhere. Grossly it would appear that Quadratec has fraudulently and without justification taken payments from my credit card that they refuse thus far to refund; and they have sand-bagged me for the past 2 years.Business Response

I have uploaded two months of credit card statements that pertain to the complaint. Marked item of September 22, 2021 indicates a transaction of $914.15. I believe that this represents payments for an entire lift kit including four shock absorbers ($775.99 + tax) and a steering stabilizer shock. Around this time I received four shock absorbers and the steering stabilizer. I did not receive the lift kit. All other items on this page are not contested.
The second page from 2022 has two items marked $510.63 on May 11th, and $329.00 on March 25th. The sum of these is $839.63 which I believe represents the cost of the full lift kit ($775.99 x ***** to accomodate tax). I received in May the entire lift kit including four shocks. Other items on this page are not contested.
I believe Quadratec has referenced the shipping document for the May 2022 shipment of the lift kit. They do not have a shipping document for a lift kit in 2021, because they did not ship one then, it is a simple fantasy. A $840 and roughly 200 pound fantasy. I have paid for two, and I received one. I am due a refund of $839.63 and authorization to return the four extra shock absorbers. I am sorry that their accounting department got this messed up, I have spent a lot of time trying to straighten it out, it is not easy when they will not communicate with me directly; but they did mess it up. Thank you for sending over this information. In the interest of getting you taken care of, I have issued an RMA for the 4 shock and lift kit. I understand you only have 4 shocks to send back and no lift kit. The lift kit is on the *** just to account for the funds needed to get back to you. Since this has been quite some time since the order was placed, I can make sure you get a refund check sent out to you for the amount you have referenced.
Can you please verify the address you would like the check sent to?
The RMA was just issued and may take 1-3 days for ***** to get the prepaid return labels out to you via email. Once we receive the shocks back, I will make sure the refund check is issued and sent out right away to close this case!

I agree with Quadratec's proposal to resolve this complaint; however, there will unfortunately be a delay in my returning the shock absorbers because last Saturday we migrated from ******** to ******* to enjoy the weather differential. The shocks are in ******** and I'm now in *******. I will ship the shocks immediately upon my return to ******** which is expected around the end of February. I ordered from this company over 2 weeks ago now and they still couldn't give me an update for the shipment. they also stopped responding for 2 days now. The total amount for the two items I bought is $108.68. i contacted them three times and they were replying with what seemed to be an automated message from "****". This was not the first time it's happened. I purchased an item from them back in May and it took 3 weeks to get to me without any word/update until I reached out multiple times. I see one of the two items you are waiting on is currently processing to ship out of our warehouse today so you will have tracking sent via email by the end of the day today for the gasket. you need to stop selling out of stock items and never give the customers any update. this is the second time I have experienced this issue. both times took almost a month to get shipped out. every email I sent got me the same response. " I reached out to the manufacturer and will let you know as soon as I hear back" and I NEVER heard back. I was told that both gasket and the filter are coming directly from the manufacturer. "****" from your customer service email has to do better. Commenting on your ******** post seemed to work better than "****". But of course, that comment magically disappeared.

In this case, the order was placed on 7/11 and our website reflected that the item you are waiting on typically takes 7-10 business days to ship. That time frame has passed and we greatly apologize for the delay.
Typically Mopar is quick with getting items shipped, but this one is taking longer than expected. Currently we have shipped 4 of 5 products that were ordered. Once the last item ships, we will update you with tracking info.

On April 22 2024 I purchased a soft top for a Jeep Wrangler Jl. (Order number *********) Upon receiving the product I noticed there was damage that would keep me from installing the top on my Jeep. They sent me a replacement part and I started the install. After noticing other defects that could not be repaired, I sent the product back and requested a refund on May 9th from a return authorization from Quadratech. I inquired about my refund 5 days after they received the package and was issued a response on May 22. And was told the money would be returned within 48 hours. On May 1st of this year I placed an order on quadratic.com for a front bumper and skid plate. The skid plate arrived no issues however the bumper not only took forever but arrived damaged. The item was originally supposed to arrive on a Tuesday but never arrived. I did not contact quadratic that day but instead started a case with ***** as the package had not been scanned for several days. ***** eventually got back to me and let me know several days later that the package that was in ******* on Sunday was now in ******. Called Quadratec at this point and the customer service was subpar. The person I spoke to had no understanding for my frustration so I asked to speak to a manager. That manager called me and left no message when I didnt answer instead the same representative I initially spoke to called me back and offered me a $50 gift card. The package in question had a $700 bumper in it and Im offered a $50 gift card? Finally the bumper arrived and the box is destroyed, pics attached, and when the driver placed it down you can hear the bumper hit the ground. Now there are scuff marks and sections where the coating is exposed. At the time I needed a bumper as I had a trip planned but Im going to have to get this bumper powder coated again due to the negligence of quadratic and I should not have to eat that cost. There was no added protection to the bumper just a fabric bag inside the box. Looking at the reviews I am not the first to complain of this. I am in the beginning stages of my build so have had the poor customer service experience already leaves me doubting using quadratic any longer. The shipping times on this item around typically around 7-10 business days on standard shipping. The shipping surcharge was due to this item being oversized. I see this order was placed on 5/1/24 and delivered 5/9/24 at 2:11pm.
I hate to see that the item was poorly packaged and not properly cared for on delivery causing this to be damaged. Are you able to send photos of the damaged to the bumper itself?
For a resolution, would you like a replacement to be sent for you or would you be willing to accept a partial refund for the damaged and keep the bumper you have now?

This order was from the beginning of May so we are past our 45 day return policy, but I would still like to help you out on this one.
I see you are seeking a refund of the product. If you would like, I can set up an RMA to get this picked up from you and issue a refund for the bumper upon return.
If you would like to keep the bumper, I would be happy to compensate you for the damages. Can you please provide photos of the product itself outside of the shipping box that clearly show the damages in order for Quadratec to come up with a fair value in compensation?

I purchased a tonneau cover from the company's **** store. The cover came without the hardware to install it. I reached out to their **** store department with no response. So, I had to contact their main support to seek a solution. The company's support is extremely bad, I contacted them multiple times with no resolution. They promise to get back to me and never do. One time they told me they will be in touch by the end of the day, never happened. Another time in 2-3 days, never happened. I even offered them to pay for the hardware that was supposed to be included with the cover I purchased, the answer I received that they do not sell it separately! This is absurd. All I need is the hadware for the product I bought, so I can install it and use it for it's intended purpose.Business Response

On February 17, 2024 I ordered a tool for my husband for a gift through Quadratec. It is now May 9, *************************************************** the refund I have requested. I have emailed them several times and have received the same response that they will look into it and they never get back to me. Then requested a refund that they said they will email the 3rd party to ask for and I still have yet to receive the refund. I ordered a hardtop for my Jeep wrangler. It came damaged. The back glass was busted. I called DV8 Off-road, which the company that Quadratec uses for this hardtop and they are the ones that communicated with me about the shipment. They told me to accept the shipment and they would send a new back glass. After 4 months of waiting, they now say there is no replacement. I have to destroy the top and have a disposal company haul it off. Im a female senior citizen. They told me to destroy it with a hammer.Customer Answer
