  I am actively seeking new employment as a very experienced professional. Job search is difficult and I thought that Lensa was a legitimate venue for finding some part-time work during my job search. I cancelled my job alert with them after an hour because the first job alert I received was completely inappropriate, and I didn't realize that they sell your data broadly without asking for your prior approval. After I cancelled, I received an e-mail confirmation from them indicating that my account was cancelled, and that they deleted all my data. This happened yesterday, and today I have been flooded with spam from a variety of completely inappropriate sources that I can't seem to stop. I keep unsubscribing within the e-mails I've received, and have marked them as spam, but the spam continues from those sources as well as from new sources.

Concerning your personal information - we do not give out your data to third parties unless explicit consent is provided upon registration. Even if you change your mind afterward, you can turn this feature off in your Account Center.   Lensa uses other job boards to repost old job posts that do NOT exist!!! The link redirects you to sign up on Lensa’s job board which requires an email address that they sell to third party affiliates you can only opt out of after signing up!!!

Please understand that although we put a lot of effort into maintaining our listings as up-to-date as possible, there are cases when the source page removes it, and by the time you're viewing it, it is no longer available. Before sending out job listings to you as per your preferences, our algorithm checks to make sure that all of the listed jobs are available. We forwarded your feedback to our tech team to further investigate and ensure that the job seeker experience is seamless and successful.   I wish I could rank it as zero stars. Lensa confirmed an interview appointment for me this morning. The company told me they have no positions open at this time. Lensa is also texting about job opportunities claiming they were just posted. More often than not, these jobs have been posted for weeks and or days. This is very irresponsible and a waste of my time. Incredibly unprofessional.

  Spam spam spam - even if you try to unsubscribe you still get an inbox full of job listings that don’t meet your qualifications or links to other job websites that require you to make an account.

Still, your data is not forwarded to any third parties unless you explicitly consent. Lensa jobseekers can adjust the number of emails they receive from us on a daily basis from within their account settings and can unsubscribe several different ways, one of which is reaching out to our dedicated Support team and requesting to be unsubscribed in case you'd like us to do this on our end (by emailing [email protected] / filling out our contact form).   I’d give it a zero if I could. They email you fraudulent jobs to apply for them when you click apply it takes you to one site after another to enter all your private info and NEVER takes you to apply for anything! If it was legit then you’d at some point see an application. Lol scam scam scam!!! Fill up your emails in a flood - it’s insane!

  I am so glad I checked here after I received a random email from Lensa, They didn't even know my name. Addressed me by my email address asking me to complete my profile and upload my resume. I never heard of them before and never started a profile with them. Everyone knows that the resume isn't anything any unemployed person would leave off a job board. I hope they get sued for deceptive and fraudulent business practices in order to obtain job hunters information, unsolicited.
  The crazy thing is, they know that all they have to do to have an A rating on BBB, is to respond to complaints, they don't have to resolve anything or change their methods.

  D.H**** I signed up with another agency, and Lensa pops up and sends me emails on Saturdays and Sundays pretty much all day long. Then all of a sudden they needed my personal bank account information to upgrade my resume, which I can do myself. I tried calling that Indianapolis number which is not a working number, this is definitely a scam.

  Dear Doris - thank you for your review! Lensa is a job site and we provide a job alert service for job seekers using the preferences they set in their accounts. Our service is free of charge. We do have partners - like ResumeRabbit - that charge for resume distribution, they may be connected to the experience you described in your review, needing your bank details etc. Distributing your resume through them is not required to receive job alerts from Lensa.
