I have been receiving Nexxt messages even though I have never signed up for it. I cannot seem to deactivate or opt out. This has been going on for weeks.Business Response

Per your request, we have deactivated your account and unsubscribed you from future emails. All Nexxt emails do contain an Unsubscribe link in the footer, so job seekers have the ability to unsubscribe from communications on their end if they would like.

I never created an account from ********************** but received welcome emails from them welcoming me as a new member. Since I never created an account, the forgot your password option does not work so I cannot delete my non-existent account. I am deeply uncomfortable with the fact that Nexxt either created an account without my consent, or has my personal information with my email and job search history. Please make sure Nexxt deletes any account and ALL personal information (including resume, email, location, job search) and does not share/sell my information to other third parties.Business Response

January 4, 2025 ***************** created an account with my personal information and background without my knowledge or authorization and has been sending multiple unsolicited emails, calls and texts. They are also selling and sharing my personal information without my knowledge, consent or permission. Samm reached out to us via email on 1/7/25, to which we promptly responded back the following day, 1/8/25.We requested that they share the email in question as an attached document in order to assist us in determining why it was delivered to the ****************** email address.
Upon further review of the email sampling provided by the customer, our records show that the email received was generated by a candidate account created on 1/4/25 (using a different email address) while applying to a partner sponsored job opportunity. We requested direction from the customer as to whether they preferred that we unsubscribe one or both of these email addresses as to no longer receive emails from us. Candidates can also unsubscribe and/or deactivate their accounts on their end at any time. We have deactivated their registered account and have also unsubscribed both email addresses tied to this user.

I started receiving multiple emails daily about job openings that I have no interest in. I have never subscribed to their mailing list as far as I know and had never heard of them until they started sending me emails. I have not interacted with NEXXT or any of their products before. I was sent an unsolicited email offering a job for a location I am not at. I am not searching for a job. I have not asked NEXXT to contact me. I have not consented to creating an account with ********************** at any time previously or currently. I have not asked NEXXT to gather or sell my personal information. I am not sure how this company got my personal information and resume but they did not aquire it by me. They have provided my personal information to thousands of people and I am getting a lot of scam calls and texts because of this from people trying to phish for more of my personal information. This is a security risk and liability. I want my resume and personal information removed from their site as I never provided them with it on the first place and I can not access the information to delete it myself since I never created an account or provided them with my personal information myself.Business Response

While we noted that the email address used for this account is different than the one provided in your BBB communication, we observed a match in the contact phone number. This account was initiated through a job opportunity posted by one of our partners on August 10, 2021. It appears that there hasn't been any activity on this account since its inception. We will deactivate it and remove any associated information as requested.
As you had an account with us, rest assured, we would have only shared your information in accordance with your account settings and our privacy policy. Therefore, we did not provide [your] personal information to thousands of people. Unfortunately, the Internet contains a multitude of phishing scams which try to establish credibility with the job seeker by saying they found their resume/information on reputable sites, such as Nexxt, regardless of where they actually found it. These are beyond our control, though we try to investigate them when we are given sufficient information. After a detailed review of the information you provided, we can confirm that we did not share the information pertaining to your account with the organization named in your attachment. I'm tech savy & very aware of tricks used by 3rd party companies to collect your data. I skip over such covert tactics when applying for jobs. HOWEVER SOMEHOW NEXXT cleverly went another way & got my data against my will. NEXXT has been scamming me with MULTIPLE emails daily that I CANNOT UNSUBSCRIBE from. I've tried many times. NEXXT is sending totally IRRELEVANT jobs I would never be interested in. I believe It started when I applied to a job on Indeed (which I rarely do. Now I remember why). When I click on NEXXT's useless unsubscribe link in the email I'm asked to login.I don't have login credentials & "forgot password" doesn't work bc I never created any account. I refuse to create an account when I want the opposite! Evidently NEXXT already created an account. I WANT ALL OF MY DATA REMOVED IMMEDIATELY! This company is criminal! It's impossible to contact them. When you call any of their numbers, they say "your call is important to us" which is a really sad joke. NEXXT does not want to talk to you! They make sure of it. You need to have a person's last name to talk to anyone in customer service, OTHERWISE press 0 to leave a message. If you press 0 MAILBOX IS FULL. If you fill out contact form on website, it asks you tons of unnecessary personal info & your issue is not on drop-down list. Legitimate companies have no reason to obfuscate & behave like NEXXT. NEXXT should be ashamed of themselves. @NEXXT WHY DO you underhandedly trick people into your database? PLEASE don't respond with the non-sense that I signed up, opted-in, had old acct etc. You got my data with trickery without my knowledge bc I KNOW I closed that signup window & skipped. After carefully looking into your concerns, we noted that at least four accounts with the email address you provided have existed in our database, and they are all deactivated. We can confirm that you created your most recent account with us on 07/20/2023 through a partner-sponsored job on our site *************************************** on the information provided when you created your account, we began sending you matching job alert emails.
We did not spam you. We sent you information about relevant employment opportunities in accordance with your account settings. In addition, we do not and cannot create accounts for job seekers without their knowledge and permission. If you inadvertently created an account or no longer wish to receive our emails, you can deactivate the account yourself or reach out to us for assistance, as you ultimately did.According to our records, you reached out to us via our Contact Us form on 07/25/2023 regarding your account and requested the removal of your information. We promptly addressed your request. I am rejecting this response because:For the record, Nexxt is NOT being honest. EVERYTHING stated in my complaint is 100% TRUE. FACT: You most certainly SPAMMED ME just like all the. rest of the people who have filed complaints here. FACT: You MOST CERTAINLY CREATE ACCOUNTS WITHOUT PERSON KNOWING! I never created an account nor was I aware that an account was created until I got spammed to death. AS I said I read the fine print & I know ALL the tricks used. I avoid creating 3rd party accounts or getting put in job board databases I don't want to be in. I tried MANY times to unsubscribe & even called (but you needed a person's name to get through) Contacting someone took an act of God. I resorted to sending a message via contact page which was designed for customers & not for unsubscribing. It was only after I wrote this complaint that the spam stopped. FACT: I've NEVER heard of nor have I visited www.sanfranciscogigs.com whom you said I recently created an account with, which makes you guilty. I never signed up for none of this - not them nor NEXXT. Somebody did that covertly using my data without my knowledge or permission. FACT: I wasn't ever sent "RELEVANT" jobs! NOT ONCE. Your AI is STUPUD. I'm in the IT field, yet I got nothing but medical field jobs. Apparently your systems/partner's system who stole my information without my knowledge was too stupid to know that just because I apply at a healthcare company doesn't mean I'm in the medical industry! He deactivated this account on August 18,2022.
