I signed up for a program called Rapid Re-housing program at ************************* at ***** Project Share ********************************************************************** formerly known as Connect by Night. The director of this program, *************************************, convinced me that her organization would help me with rental assistance for my transitioning from homelessness. ************************************* personally inspected my apartment and approved me for the Rapid Rehousing funding for the partial move-in costs and rental assistance. She stated several times since the start of my lease in April of 2024 that the payment for the landlord was mailed. It is now March of 2024 and my landlord says that no payment was received. I have submitted copies of my personal financial information including pay stubs, to this organization as requested. They have not been honoring their part of the contract. They have since then requested copies of my bank statements. This situation has me questioning the business practices along with the integrity of the people in charge of this program. It is also causing avoidable stress to my mental health and threatening my sobriety.

    Customer Answer

    Date: 06/10/2024

It has been brought to my attention that the organization Project Share of Delaware County has issued the checks requesting the funds that I reported in my complaint to you and other entities including the State Representative and C.A.A.D.C., that is if the checks clear. I have since then received a letter in the mail containing an appointment reminder scheduled for 06/10/2024. However, I was never contacted by anyone initially to make this appointment. Included in this letter is a notice that states my enrollment in this program is in jeopardy for reasons of Non-contact and missed appointments. The program requires their participants to attain gainful employment and compliance as a condition for services. I am employed full time during regular business hours and for that reason was given scheduled appointments for Saturday mornings to meet with their housing representative as not to interfere with my work performance. I have been in constant contact with them, for that reason they were reported for their business practices. I believe this to be an attempt at retaliation for my reporting them because I am unable to make this surprise appointment or any other during regular business hours especially during a new hire probationary period. I question the integrity of those in charge of this program considering the letter I received 06/06/2024 was dated 06/03/2024 US mail, yet it took over a month send the rent check to the landlord.
